Scientology survey for its members: Why aren’t you giving us more money?

On Wednesday, we told you that the Hollywood Celebrity Centre had sent out a questionnaire to its members which suggested that a new series of Scientology books for children may be coming.

Now, the Celebrity Centre has sent out another poll of its membership, and this one is just reeking with desperation. We thought you’d want to see it as well.

Dear ,

I am currently doing a survey regarding tax advantages available to Scientologists living in the USA. If you live in the USA, please take a moment and answer my questions. Thank you so very much. Your data is important!

Best, Hannes

R-factor: In accordance with United States tax rules, donations to Churches of Scientology for Scientology and Dianetics processing and training services generally qualify as tax-deductible charitable contributions. This includes services at your local org, and also at ASHO, AOLA for OT Levels and Flag.

This is an opportunity for you and/or your family to make it up the Bridge faster, as in some situations the resulting tax savings can be very substantial.

We would like to get your input on some key points regarding this.

1. First of all, what do you know of the tax advantages that are available to you when you donate for processing and training services?

2. Do you feel you know how this works and how you can benefit from this?

3. How have you used these tax advantages on your donations to your advantage?

4. If you have never used these tax advantages to your advantage, please explain why not.

5. What sort of information would help you to better take advantage of these tax benefits for your own and/or your family’s progress up the Bridge?

6. What does your ideal progress up the Bridge look like?

7. How are you planning to take advantage of these tax benefits available to you now or in the future?

8. What could such tax advantages on your donations for processing and training services do for you personally?

9. What would be the benefit of you moving up the Bridge?

10. Processing Level:

The End. Thank you very much!

Inglewood PD still has nothing to say about Brian Statler

More than two months after Inglewood police shot and killed a black man in a Church of Scientology, the police department has still said nothing about why they think Brian Statler drove up in a white Bentley and reportedly went into the church wielding a samurai sword before he was shot in the head by responding police officers, who also ended up with gunshot wounds.

However, we finally got a response to one of our numerous messages to the department, which responded with this update: “No further information is being provided at this time as the matter is subject to both a criminal investigation and an administrative investigation. Thank you for your understanding.”

Bonus items from our tipsters

Ron’s cosmology is the best part of Scientology. Could it be they’re going to start getting more public about it?

HowdyCon 2019 in Los Angeles

THURSDAY NIGHT OPPORTUNITY: This year’s HowdyCon is in Los Angeles. People tend to come in starting on Thursday, and that evening we will have a casual get-together at a watering hole. But we also want to point out that Cathy Schenkelberg’s “Squeeze My Cans” will be running at the Hollywood Fringe, and we encourage HowdyCon attendees to see her show on Thursday night, June 20. Tickets and more dates available here.

Friday night June 21 we will be having an event in a theater (like we did on Saturday night last year in Chicago). There will not be a charge to attend this event, but if you want to attend, you need to RSVP with your proprietor at tonyo94 AT gmail.

On Saturday, we are joining forces with Janis Gillham Grady, who is having a reunion in honor of the late Bill Franks. Originally, we thought this event might take place in Riverside, but instead it’s in the Los Angeles area. If you wish to attend the reunion, you will need to RSVP with Janis (janisgrady AT gmail), and there will be a small contribution she’s asking for in order to help cover her costs.

HOTEL: Janis tells us she’s worked out a deal with Hampton Inn and Suites, at 7501 North Glenoaks Blvd, Burbank, (818) 768-1106. We have a $159 nightly rate for June 19 to 22. Note: You need to ask for the “family reunion” special rate.
