Did Rebecca Minkoff really say that Scientology has no secrets?

TODAY AT SUBSTACK: If you’ve signed up for free emails at Substack, you will receive today’s feature story at your inbox: Rebecca Minkoff gave a pretty classic celebrity Scientology performance this week, telling the ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ that she wasn’t ‘uncomfortable’ talking about the church, but then offering blatant lies about it with responses designed to shut down discussion. [What is this Substack thing, anyway?]

“The Remedy of Havingness directly addresses the problems of giving the thetan something “to play with.” When he discovers that he can have new masses, he will begin to let go of old masses. It is an easily observed phenomenon while having a preclear Remedy Havingness, that old engrams go into restimulation, go into restimulation and run out, that they show up in front of his face and suddenly explode or disappear. The Remedy of Havingness actively does run out engrams. This process is used from boredom up to conservatism for its best results.” — L. Ron Hubbard, 1972

“I don’t think God wants to communicate with anybody myself. I’m — some people I know, and so forth — I know some of the things I have to say, I don’t think he would want to communicate with me. I know an awful lot of people that, boy, he’d run if he thought he had to communicate with them.” — L. Ron Hubbard, October 14, 1953

Avast, Ye Mateys

“The vessel lying behind us is an oceanographic survey ship run by a US university. It has been located as the point spreading rumours about us in a limited fashion in the port. Another ship the blue 40 footer, is an American yacht with a journalist aboard bound for West West Africa. He picked up the rumors and exaggerated them. The things to remember are (a) stay with the shore story in casual conversation and (b) we actually are the proprietors of these ports. In other words keep consistent in what you say ashore, consistent with other crew members. Don’t dream up fancy tales. We’re the cowboys in the white hat, the good guys.” — The Commodore, October 14, 1970

“Lesbian Maoists are exporting war for China. (Instead of being put in FEMA camps, as recommended in Science of Survival.) George Soros funds the lesbian Maoists (BLM) burning the USA.”

Past is Prologue

1995 Dennis posted an update on his case. “This week MoFo produced a strong filing for Judge Whyte which requested that the scienos be held in contempt of court for failing to return all my personal property illegally seized in the (now vacated) unconstitutional raid in February. If I get around to it, I’ll post some of the lovely language. The scienos have filed requesting an impoundment of all the materials they shouldn’t have ever taken from me during the raid that shouldn’t have ever happened. They base this filing on my earlier posted intention to do fair use critique of all the materials, once I get them back. Another hearing (or ruling) will be forthcoming November 3.”

Random Howdy

“So my mom being constipated and my dad poking me in the eye with his dick is the reason my life is shit? Thanks Ron, I knew it was their fault somehow, but I thought it had something to do with bad genes.”
