You read about her encounter on a plane, now hear Tammy Synovec’s Scientology saga

Tammy Synovec’s tale about sitting down next to a Scientologist on a flight out of Los Angeles generated a big reaction. For three hours, she had an opportunity she’d been hoping would happen for a long time: To talk to a current Scientologist about the problems she saw when she was a member.

We’ve been talking to Tammy behind the scenes for some time now, and we know that her experiences in Scientology are heartbreaking. We’re fortunate that she wanted to tell that story in our latest podcast episode.

We did our best to keep things to an hour, which means she couldn’t go into every detail, but we think you’ll see that Scientology put her into some pretty impossible situations as yet another family was ripped apart by David Miscavige’s organization.

“The Reactive Mind (known also as the R6 Bank) can only be audited out by someone who is trained up to Class VI. When the Reactive Mind is fully audited out (erased completely) one has a Clear. When a Clear has been refamiliarized with his capabilities you have an Operating Thetan (an OT). A Release then is pulled OUT of his Reactive Mind. A Clear has fully erased his Reactive Mind. An Operating Thetan is one who is Cause over Matter Energy Space and Time and is not in a body. The degree and relative permanence of being pulled out of the Reactive Mind determines the state of Release. There are numerous things that can pull one back into the Reactive Mind. These are (l) Locks (2) Secondaries (3) Engrams (4) The Whole Time Track.” — L. Ron Hubbard, 1965

“Orgs are in the very new, for this universe, business of setting people free. SPs will find all manner of reasons not to, for this is what they, with their own crimes, fear. Thus it follows that they cut dissem lines, corrupt tech, suppress and confuse orgs, persuade people to be inactive and resort to other shifts, all quite ‘reasonable’ and ‘logical’ as to why this must be the way it is; so be alert to this and go ahead and set people free. It’s done with org services well delivered, on-policy, with standard tech. So just do it, man, do it!” — L. Ron Hubbard, January 13, 1983

“Starboard Watch is assigned Non-Existence for slowness in coming to Fire Drill on 9 Jan 69 and treating it as a joke. The F/MAA is to discover who in Starboard considers drills a joke and throw the joker or jokers overboard, which is a very big joke in this cool weather and cold water.” — The Commodore, January 13, 1969

“I’m not indicating this is what happened to LRH. I am just indicating that LRH’s data on Theta Lines is confirmed, and that there can be several reincarnations of LRH on this planet. So far, only Justin Craig has come so far. There was a teenager that claimed she also was the reincarnation of LRH, but didn’t go too far.”

Past is Prologue

2001: The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that Time Magazine has won an appeal by Scientology to reverse the dismissal of a libel lawsuit over the 1991 cover article. “Time Inc. and another unit of AOL Time Warner Inc. have persuaded a federal appeals panel to uphold the dismissal of a libel suit brought by the Church of Scientology International. The lawsuit stemmed from a 1991 cover story in Time magazine titled ‘Scientology: The Cult of Greed,’ which called Scientology ‘a ruthless global scam.’ The 7,500-word story by journalist Richard Behar said the church survives by ‘intimidating members and critics in a Mafia-like manner,’ and called Scientology a ‘ruthless … terroristic’ cult. The church sued Behar, Time and Time Warner for libel, claiming that these and other statements were defamatory.”

“I’m still waiting for someone to do the obvious KFC shoop with the KSW and L Ron as the Colonel. Preferably on a bucket.”
