Michael Chan, live! Is there anything more thrilling, Scientology pilgrims?
One of our great tipsters forwarded to us the latest Scientology mailer about church barnstormer Michael Chan coming to the San Fernando Valley “Ideal Org” for more of his promotions of Scientology’s expensive seances, with the added treat that “cultural destruction” makes Scientology more relevant than ever.
We’re sure it will be a gas, and we can only imagine that two full days of Michael Chan is something not to be missed.
It reminded us, however, that a video leaked to us of an actual Chan lecture remains one of the most remarkable things we’ve ever seen that was sneaked out of the Church of Scientology.
That was three years ago, however, and we know that’s an eternity in Internet time. We wanted to make sure that some of our newer readers got a chance to see why we speak so highly of this leak.
It’s one of the very, very few times that we obtained video evidence of Scientology’s wacky cosmology being taught to church members, backing up what we’ve been saying was spelled out in founder L. Ron Hubbard’s lectures and that defectors have confirmed remains the ultimate goal of Scientology.
Please take a little time and watch Chan explain the origin story of thetans and this universe. And also how Ideal Orgs are nearly dead, but that they need to bring in many, many more people in order to find the truly great thetans walking the earth on a par with Obi-Wan Kenobi.

1996: It was reported this week that a Scientologist killed two children of a Canadian couple, also Scientologists. The murder was committed in Copenhagen, Denmark. Excerpts from news reports, including the Toronto Sun. “A woman drowned a pair of one-year-old Canadian twins while bathing them, then dressed the bodies, put them in a stroller and pushed them to a police station, police said Monday. A Russian-born nanny turned herself in to police and was taken into custody for a psychological examination and questioning. She was not identified. The one-year-old boy and girl were drowned on Saturday, police said. They said the children’s bodies were mutilated. The twins’ mother was identified as Deborrah Helen Hiver, of Canada, and the father as Paul Maurice Hiver of France. The couple had met the nanny at a Scientology church where they are all members, church officials said. While Debbie and Aime Hiver were at work at a cleaning company Saturday, police say, their 47-year-old nanny, Ludmila Vassilieva, appeared at a local police station with a stroller bearing the bodies of their daughter, Lauren, and son, Herve. Vassilieva, like the Hivers, is a member of the Church of Scientology, and in a public letter the parents laid the blame for their nanny’s behavior on psychiatric treatment, ‘which not only does not help but can influence a person to kill.'”

— Luis and Rocio Garcia v. Scientology: Oral arguments were heard on July 30, 2020 at the Eleventh Circuit
— Valerie Haney v. Scientology: Forced to ‘religious arbitration.’ Petition to US Supreme Court submitted on May 26. Scientology responded on June 25.
— Chrissie Bixler et al. v. Scientology and Danny Masterson: California Supreme Court granted review on May 26 and asked the Second Appellate Division to direct Judge Steven Kleifield to show cause why he granted Scientology’s motion for arbitration. Oral arguments scheduled for November 2.
— Matt and Kathy Feschbach tax debt: Eleventh Circuit ruled on Sept 9 that Feshbachs can’t discharge IRS debt in bankruptcy. Dec 17: Feshbachs sign court judgment obliging them to pay entire $3.674 million tax debt, plus interest from Nov 19.
