While last night’s season premiere of Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath was airing on A&E, Scientology quietly posted a 12-minute smear video that may be the apotheosis of the genre.
As Mike Rinder pointed out in the episode last night, Scientology never disappoints — David Miscavige can’t help but confirm everything the show is saying about him and his organization by following the dictates of L. Ron Hubbard with more vicious attacks on former members.
Attack. Attack. ATTACK.
To which we say…
Thank you! Scientology’s smeary attacks are the best. They not only confirm everything we’ve been saying about the church, but they are Exhibit A for why this atrocious excuse for a nonprofit “church” deserves to be examined by numerous government agencies.
This new video was so over the top in its smeary smeariness, we thought we’d collect some of the best images from it and share them with you, while expressing our awe.
Sure, the whitest of white churches, founded by the whitest man who ever lived, is trying to smear its critics as the KKK, or something. Creative!
Hey, what did J-Lo do to deserve that label? This is actually very funny because you know it burns Miscavige to no end that Leah pals around with Jennifer Lopez, whose father is a longtime Scientologist. He doesn’t dare kick her father out, he can’t get his clutches into J-Lo, and it must kill him that Leah appears in her movie that opens in December, Second Act.
This is so good A&E really ought to make a billboard out of it.
Paul, thank you for whatever role you play in airing Leah’s show. Here’s your badge of honor.

This is amazing. Scientology is trying to smear Amy Scobee with sexual innuendo, so they show her being greeted by BBC journalist John Sweeney planting a smooch on her cheek!

One of Scientology’s standard procedures is to find a bad photo of you as a garden-variety cheap shot. But you just can’t make Marc and Claire look bad. It’s impossible.
And if you know Gary, you know he never frowns! This is gold!
They go after Jesse, and he’s not even in the show!
And ultimately, they got nothin’. Not if they’re turning to this clown.
Well, there you have it. Miscavige, you can’t touch that, and you never will.
Just as L. Ron Hubbard hated that a good-looking woman, Paulette Cooper, was exposing him for the creep that he was, Miscavige constantly betrays his insecurities in the ways he goes after Leah.
What a little man.
