Just a week after throwing a party on L. Ron Hubbard way to celebrate another “season” of propaganda on its television channel, Scientology threw another shindig this past Saturday night so the locals could watch video of David Miscavige’s nearly three-hour presentation at the IAS event in East Grinstead, England which took place the week before.
A once-dormant Scientology front group is making a resurgence. This month Friends of Narconon launched a new Twitter account, and they’re making the remarkable claim that their educational program is endorsed by SAMHSA, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The agency is a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and is responsible for improving the quality and availability of treatment and rehabilitative services, including drug rehab programs. Dear readers, we find ourselves in an unusual situation, and after several weeks of frustration we’ve decided that writing about it and letting you into what is happening might help us figure out what to do next.
We told you on Tuesday that court records reflect that “substitute service” was made on Scientology leader David Miscavige in a couple of lawsuits brought by his former steward, Valerie Haney, and four women who are suing Scientologist actor Danny Masterson, alleging that he violently raped them. |
