Scientology amps up shattering suppression in the wake of Leah Remini’s onslaught

In the past year we have seen an increase in the number of Scientologists taking the How To Confront And Shatter Suppression – PTS/SP Course. It’s been a required course for years and one that many members have done repeatedly but now we learn it’s been revised again, this time with more “clay demos.” It could be the fifth major revision but it’s hard to be sure. In 2013 Claire Headley described her experiences with the course.

Guy White opens his big mouth: The former Hubbard family member spills on Scientology!

It was great that Guy White, ex-husband to Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard’s daughter Suzette and father to their three children, decided to go public with his life in and out of Scientology, and in a big way. He got a big Daily Mail piece, and within hours we published our own interview with him. And now, he’s done his first podcast, with our man Jeffrey Augustine.

David Miscavige: Valerie Haney’s lawsuit is a publicity stunt and I want no part of it

[Scientology’s leader and his former steward]

Poor Scientology leader David Miscavige. You know, you give someone a job for years as an indentured servant out at your Worker’s Paradise on a secluded 500-acre California compound, make them cater to your every need 24 hours a day in your private quarters and blow a gasket every time your morning eggs aren’t just right, and then after demoting them, make sure they can’t leave the compound ever again to see family or friends because they know too much about you.

And then, after they escape in the trunk of a car, they sue you? What’s the world coming to?

Scientologists use faith healing to convince fire victims they’re actually helping

Australia’s largest city, Sydney, is surrounded by brush fires. Smoke covered the city this week leading some residents to seek medical attention. Six have died so far and more than 2.5 million acres and hundreds of homes have been burned. As we reported last year, disasters of this scale are an opportunity for Scientology to work on “safepointing” their Ideal Orgs, and to disseminate founder L. Ron Hubbard’s “assist” technology (light massages with quack healing claims).
