Louis Theroux’s ‘My Scientology Movie’ at Tribeca today, & more in our social media review

Finally, America gets its first look at Louis Theroux’s very funny film, My Scientology Movie, when it premieres this evening at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

We were fortunate enough to be present when the movie had its worldwide premiere at the London Film Festival in October, and we’ll be at tonight’s screening as well. We’re sure it will generate just as many belly laughs from the New York audience as it did in Leicester Square. We’ll try to snap a photo or two with Louis and John Dower and Simon Chinn, the film’s director and producer. Until then, please enjoy Rod Keller’s weekly Scientology social media review!

After renovations, Community Learning Center re-opened on Fort Harrison Ave. in Clearwater, Florida with a celebration yesterday. The Applied Scholastics school concentrates on tutoring at-risk youth using L. Ron Hubbard’s “study tech.”

Battlefield Earth villian Terl accompanied Scientology to the London Book Fair this week, as Galaxy Press promoted the 1982 novel by L. Ron Hubbard.

Devin Manuel is the only student on the Academy board this week at the new Atlanta Ideal Org. He won’t be able to start until there is a second student, since he needs a co-auditing twin.

Big time Scientology donor Patrick Clouden announced an event at the Drug Free World Center in Clearwater featuring Lynn Posyton. Clouden describes her actions as “safe pointing.”

You may follow on social media the activities of Lynn Posyton, the Director of Community Relations at my company, Consumer Energy Solutions, and thought, “Wow, she’s unbelievable!” In fact, her activities are so effective, influential, and safe pointing that she has been asked to speak at the Drug Free World Convention on the ship May 5 – May 12 with special guest speakers:

– Dr. Ben Fialkoff, President Drug-Free World Americas Chapter
– Freedom Medal Winner Mr. Mario Chirinos who is President of Venezuela’s Drug-Free World Foundation
– and our dear friend Mr. John Redman!

On Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Drug Free World Center in Clearwater, Lynn is doing a presentation at 7 pm which will give you an opportunity to get first-hand data on how she does what she does and why. I promise you will be inspired!

L. Ron Hubbard released the policy “The Safe Point” on April 1, 1982, saying “Viability depends on having all areas and persons who could affect or influence the operation under PR control. Most important are the groups who survey out to be the key, real powers in an area.” Safepointing attempts to protect Scientology from attack by building a group of influential allies in the community.

Scientologists Mike Klagenberg and Nic Wozniak distributed Scientology’s anti-drug literature at the University of California Davis’ Caesar Chavez Youth Leadership Day. Attendees were encouraged to sign the Foundation for a Drug-Free World’s pledge to be drug-free.

Klagenberg also hosted a Foundation for a Drug-Free World event at the Sacramento Ideal Org with special guests Detective Darryl Meadows from the Sacramento County Sherrif’s Department and Don Bessee from Smart Approaches to Marijuana of Northern California, a volunteer advocacy group .

Scientologists Tonie Pepperstreet, Zsuzsanna Ban, Dan Feel Roberts and Suawek Wheeler distributed drug-free literature in the London neighborhood of Brixton this week.

The Madrid org is hosting a free seminar on the Hubbard concept of the ARC Triangle of Affinity, Reality and Communication.

How can you improve relationships with others? Find out through the magic triangle. With these secrets you can build and maintain sincere relationships.

The flier doesn’t contain the word “Scientology.”

Executive Director Ivan Arjona Pelado poses next to a new Scientology advertisement in the Madrid subway.

The Citizen’s Commission on Human Rights in Los Angeles is holding a raffle to raise funds to fight a proposed FDA change on electroconvulsive therapy equipment. CCHR staffers Amanda Smith and Eitan Celendar urged Scientologists to buy tickets this week.

There are certain records we need to pull in order to continue to fight the reclassification of the ECT machine. I must have this funded this week SO…. we are having a Spring Raffle at CCHR! Tickets are $25 and your funds go directly to fund the fight!

Johnnie Ferro and the alternative rock band No Convention are raising funds on Indiegogo to support their upcoming tour. The band will donate 30 percent of the profits from the tour to the Scientology front group Foundation for a Drug Free World. So far they have raised $55.

Jake Isham gave a presentation for aspiring actors at Celebrity Center International in Hollywood. Isham’s only credit in the Internet Movie Database is as a production assistant on the 2010 romantic comedy You Again, starring Kristen Bell and Jamie Lee Curtis.
