We’ve posted a lot of stories here at the Bunker from people who have left Scientology. People who were abused as children, who had their families ripped apart when they left, and some that are still struggling to understand what they went through. Continue reading Scientology sounds so different from those still in and those who have left
[Remember us?]Our thanks once again to the source who keeps us plugged in to what Scientologists are sharing with each other on social media. Let’s catch up with what church members are excited about as the year nears its end, shall we? Continue reading Scientology social media is like space age Christmas, praise Xenu!

As much as Scientology is slow to change because it’s based on the words of a guy who’s been dead for 36 years, it does evolve over time, and it’s something that has always fascinated us. Continue reading The expensive set of nutty experiences Scientology is pushing hard right now
[Inauguration day: More “planetary bullbait”?]Our readers continue to send in updates about the state of orgs around the US, some of which are boarded up. (Orgs overseas appear unaffected.) In our previous updates, we noted that Scientology churches were either partially or fully boarded up in New York, DC, Dallas, Mountain View, Detroit, Pasadena, San Francisco, Chicago, and Denver. Continue reading Is David Miscavige boarding up orgs in anticipation of inauguration riots?

Two years ago we decided that on Christmas Day it would be a good time to review what we knew about the disappearance of Shelly Miscavige, wife to Scientology’s leader David Miscavige, who vanished from Scientology’s Gold Base in summer 2005. We wondered if Shelly, kept hidden in a remote mountain compound, even knew it was Christmas. Two years later, we think it’s a good time to post that story again, since it still represents what we know about Shelly’s whereabouts. Continue reading Does Shelly Miscavige know it’s Christmas 2020?
[“IJC” Mike Ellis and Danny Masterson]Last week we told you that it had happened again, and Jane Doe #1’s real name had inadvertently been included in court documents, this time by her own attorneys. Also, for some reason when her lawyers had filed a sworn declaration written by her last week, they not only filed it a day late but they forgot to include the declaration itself. Continue reading Whoops. Letter shows Scientology gave Jane Doe #1 permission to sue Danny Masterson in 2004

In 1980, Scientology was in big trouble. A 1977 FBI raid had resulted in 11 top Scientology officials being convicted of conspiracy as documents and testimony proved that the church had engaged in a years-long infiltration of the US and other governments, and had broken into sensitive offices and stole documents by the yard. Continue reading Political dupe of the day: KC councilman helps Scientology front group with ‘murder’ signs

Our thanks to the tipster who sent us scans of the new Source magazine, Scientology’s in-house publication for its Flag Land Base in Clearwater, Florida. And besides the usual drivel about promoting the high-level and expensive processes at Flag, this issue contained a surprise: Evidence that leader David Miscavige made a recent appearance at a Flag graduation event at a time when some Scientology orgs are boarded up, international events have been put on hold, and Miscavige himself has been pursued without luck by process servers. Continue reading ‘Tears of joy’: Scientology boasts that leader David Miscavige attended Clearwater event

It’s another social media Sunday here in the Bunker, and we once again thank our source who lets us in on what Scientologists are telling each other as their planetary takeover proceeds at record speed. Continue reading Scientology social media: Planetary conquest still on track even as orgs are boarded up
