[Scientology in Michigan is on fire!]It’s been very busy around here lately, and so we wanted to catch up on our mail. Our tipsters have been forwarding the latest mailers from the church, and wow, the excitement is palpable! Continue reading Scientology may be struggling, but the push for your cash is still on, thetans!

Louise Shekter is a well known name to Sea Org members who sailed with L. Ron Hubbard. Her career in Scientology is rather astounding, from serving on the Apollo, to a stint in the Guardian’s Office, and much more. She’s never spoken publicly about her experiences before, but we’re incredibly excited that she’s beginning to tell her story right here at the Underground Bunker. In this first piece, she orients us in a transitional point not only for her, but for Scientology itself. Continue reading Another crucial Scientology eyewitness coming forward, starting today at the Bunker
[The London staff (not the source of today’s document)]One thing that’s consistent about the accounts by former Scientology staffers and Sea Org members is the feeling of being utterly trapped that they describe. Continue reading This document really captures what it’s like to be a Scientology indentured servant

On Friday we brought you a rather amazing (and disturbing) recruitment video from the crew at Scientology’s Orlando “Ideal Org.” The video seemed to use a reference to Adolf Hitler as a way of spreading fear over the measures being aimed at the lethal pandemic, and proposed working for Scientology as a kind of paradise. Continue reading And now for this word from Scientology about how great everything is!

Last week, we told you that we’d heard from a couple of our tipsters that Scientology is putting pressure on members to download a new app for their smartphones that will keep them up on what’s happening at the church’s private cruise ship, the Freewinds. Continue reading We wondered what was in that new Scientology app: Now we know because we got in!

Latin American music fans were stunned to learn that Argentinian-born Diego Verdaguer, a 70-year-old Mexican national who also had Italian roots, died in Los Angeles Thursday afternoon of complications from Covid-19. Continue reading He shilled for Scientology’s Covid ‘Stay Well’ program — and now he’s dead of the disease

On Wednesday, we showed you a rather voluminous set of mailers that Scientology’s Orlando Ideal Org sent out to church members, hoping to convince some of them to pull up stakes and join the staff at the forlorn facility. Continue reading Is this the greatest (and most disturbing) Scientology recruitment video ever?

We know, we know: What academics bellyache about has almost no significance whatsoever, and we should not be concerned with it. And the fact that the article we’re talking about appeared in the Wall Street Journal will get it more eyeballs, but when was the last time you turned to the WSJ for Scientology news? Continue reading Academics bleat over Scientology’s loss in appeals court, and here’s what they’re missing

We kind of feel sorry for the Orlando Ideal Org. Like the rest of the Ideal Orgs around the world, it’s nearly dead after its flashy grand opening and initial push, which is how it always goes. But at least if you were at a dead org like in Miami, you’d at least be in, well, Miami. Continue reading Scientology wants to know: Why haven’t you signed up to work for them yet?
[Carol Masterson, her husband Rusty Tweed, and Christopher Masterson]One of the side stories we’ve been watching in relation to the criminal prosecution of Scientology celebrity Danny Masterson has been the $3.3 million bond he put up to keep himself out of jail while he’s awaiting trial, which is scheduled for August 29. He’s facing allegations of violently raping three women (who were Scientologists at the time), and if he’s convicted, he’s facing 45 years to life in prison. He has vigorously professed his innocence. Continue reading Danny Masterson gets boost from Mom & brother Chris, who secure his $3.3 million bail
