I had been sucked back into Scientology after 30 years. As I said last time, I was a Ronbot through and through.
Last week we learned a lot more detail about the 2019 shooting death of Brian Statler, 30, at the Scientology “Ideal Org” in Inglewood, California. We obtained evidence submitted in the Statler family’s wrongful death lawsuit by the attorneys for the Inglewood police officers who shot and killed Statler. Those officers are asking for summary judgment in order to dismiss the lawsuit, but we found a lot to question about the evidence they submitted. Namely, that Statler turned out to be unarmed.
Last time, I mentioned that when my mother went off to Saint Hill in the mid-1960s, she left me the phone number of the Scientology org in Phoenix and I began taking courses there. But I left something out: I met the love of my life there, Kim Hawkins. And when I came back a “Clear” after my own trip to Saint Hill, my friends were very impressed. They thought I had superpowers or something. A few of them, including Kim, let me audit them.
