Back on August 12, we shared with you a rather bizarre video of Simpsons voice actress Nancy Cartwright telling Scientologists in Mexico City that she was coming to town to help with an Ideal Org fundraiser.
It featured her on Hollywood Boulevard, talking about getting a star on the Walk of Fame, and it was apparently done impromptu with onlookers standing by. One of them can be heard saying, “Was that Harry Potter?” which is a pretty strange question.

Since then we’ve been hoping to get some evidence of Nancy’s visit to Mexico and what transpired. And those photos started hitting the web last night. It strikes us as significant that Scientology leader David Miscavige has been enlisting his “whales” — his big donors and celebrities — to get more visibly active in recent Scientology affairs. We told you that on Tuesday Tom Cruise dropped in at the new Ideal Org in Colombia. Wealthy Scientology donor Tom Cummins made a video very similar to Cartwright’s about making a visit to Taiwan. And Scientology’s biggest donor, Bob Duggan, just led a weeklong seminar on Scientology’s private cruise ship, the Freewinds.
All of this is happening at the same time, which tells us that Miscavige is really behind it. Is it a sign of desperation to counter Scientology’s rough treatment in the press? Let us know what you think.
