Scientology ‘disconnection’ billboard to be a block from David Miscavige’s office & residence

Yesterday we took this photo of the current billboard standing on Hollywood Boulevard just east of La Brea Avenue, which features a message from the Air Force Reserve. But not for long. On March 22, Phil and Willie Jones want you to be there as they officially unveil their Scientology ‘disconnection’ billboard at this location, which happens to be only a block west of where Scientology leader David Miscavige lives and works in Los Angeles.

After he signed a three-month, $8,200 contract for a billboard about Scientology with the Los Angeles office of Outfront Media, former Scientologist Phil Jones has learned that the New York head office of Outfront — formerly CBS Outdoor — canceled the contract without explanation.

In November, we told you about the death of Tabatha Lynn Fauteux, a 26-year-old New Hampshire woman who was found dead in a Los Angeles apartment, apparently of a drug overdose. She had been staying at the apartment with a boyfriend for several weeks while the two of them underwent training in the Church of Scientology’s revamping of its drug rehab program, Narconon. Before they went to L.A. for the training, the two of them had been working together at Narconon’s clinic in Harlingen, Texas and had each been sober for about a year.

On Monday, Scientology attorney Bert Deixler filed the church’s final salvo at Laura DeCrescenzo before Monday’s crucial hearing in her forced-abortion lawsuit.

In 2009 Laura filed her lawsuit, and one of its main arguments was that since she had left Scientology’s Sea Org in 2004, she had come to a different understanding of her life in that strict group that requires signing a billion-year contract. After she had left it in 2004, she remained a Scientologist for four more years until finally becoming disaffected and reading eye-opening information about Scientology online.
