[Connor Cruise and Silvia Zanchi]
In yet another sign of just how dedicated Tom Cruise and his older children are to Scientology, Australia’s Woman’s Day magazine is reporting that Cruise’s 24-year-old son Connor is preparing to marry Silvia Zanchi, a Scientologist from Bergamo, Italy who is a staff worker at Scientology’s mission in Belleair, […]
[Mark Geragos and Michael Avenatti]
We certainly didn’t see this coming. Just days after Seagram heiress Clare Bronfman told Judge Nicholas Garaufis that she definitely wanted to keep famous defense attorney Mark Geragos on her legal team even though his daughter, Teny Geragos, is representing her co-defendant Keith Raniere in the Nxivm prosecution, Geragos is making […]
Hey, this seems kind of fortuitous. Last week, we asked Lloyd Evans how Jehovah’s Witnesses, an end-of-the-world group, thought about actual global challenges presented by climate […]
[Keith Raniere]
Lots of court documents have hit the Nxivm file, and we’ve been sorting through them as we can. On Friday, Keith Raniere filed a motion to dismiss that included his argument for keeping the timing of the upcoming trial on track, with jury selection starting on April 8 and opening statements on April 29, […]
[Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern wearing a hijab at a memorial service for Christchurch victims]
Rod Keller has another example of Scientology mobilizing to take advantage of human […]
We were stunned this morning to receive a copy of an email sent out to Scientologists on March 19 that contained a bizarre “success story” from a parishioner encouraging other Scientologists to do an “internship” to become an auditor at the London org. We did a real double-take when we realized that the Scientologist in […]
[Scientology heavy Helena Kobrin and Watchtower mercenary Philip Brumley]
We’re still playing catch-up here at our new Jehovah’s Witnesses blog, and yes, we keep running across parallels to what we’ve seen over at our Scientology watch. […]
[Carol Es]
This week on Scientology Lit, we have an excerpt from Shrapnel in the San Fernando Valley, a memoir by Los Angeles contemporary artist Carol Es which will be coming out on April 6. The book wrestles with Carol’s experiences growing up in a dysfunctional family in LA’s San Fernando Valley, abuse by men who […]
[Mark Geragos and his client, Clare Bronfman]
Now that Nxivm leader Keith Raniere has been hit with new charges of sexually exploiting a child and child pornography, his co-defendant, Seagram heiress Clare Bronfman, more than ever deserves her own […]
[Mark and Kimmy O’Donnell]
Mark O’Donnell, also known as ‘John Redwood’ to the ex-JW community, was featured in an amazing Atlantic piece that went live today, written by Douglas Quenqua. Mark’s journey leaving JWs and then his wife Kimmy eventually joining him forms the backdrop of a stunning article about how the Watchtower is sitting on […]
