We have another segment for you from a secretly-recorded audiotape which captures a briefing inside a Scientology church.
This is our fourth portion of the recent briefing given by Andres Rodriguez, a senior executive in the organization. Besides becoming known for being captured on tape, Rodriguez is also notable because he was married at one time to Jessica Feshbach, who became notorious as the pushy “handler” of actress Katie Holmes during her first years married to Tom Cruise. Jessica is now married to former Scientology spokesman Tommy Davis, and they are no longer in Scientology’s elite Sea Org. Continue reading AUDIO LEAK: Scientology leader David Miscavige ‘makes L. Ron Hubbard out to be an imbecile’
ML Nestel at the Daily Beast takes a long look at our book ‘The Unbreakable Miss Lovely’ this morning, revealing some of the startling facts that we managed to dig up while working with Paulette Cooper to describe her long ordeal as Scientology’s most famous target for retaliation.

SEE BELOW FOR BIG BOOK NEWS Las Vegas attorney Ryan Hamilton is at it again, filing his 28th federal fraud lawsuit against the Church of Scientology’s drug rehab network, Narconon. Once again, he’s filed a lawsuit against Narconon’s facility in Nevada, Rainbow Canyon Retreat in Caliente, and this time the plaintiff encountered problems with the rehab center just this year, in January. Continue reading Ryan Hamilton files his 28th fraud lawsuit against Scientology’s drug rehab network
On April 11, we told you that Luis and Rocio Garcia had filed a pretty remarkable “motion to reconsider” after their federal fraud lawsuit against the Church of Scientology had been derailed by Judge James D. Whittemore.
Whittemore had granted Scientology’s motion forcing the Garcias to pursue the matter through the church’s internal arbitration scheme. In so doing, the judge had said that he made his decision based, in part, on the notion that both sides in the lawsuit had agreed that Scientology was a religion. Continue reading Scientology answers Garcia motion: We are definitely a bona fide worldwide religion!
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been posting segments from a secretly-recorded audiotape that captures a Sea Org executive, Andres Rodriguez, talking to a group of Scientologists about their courses. We’ve posted three portions of the recording so far — part 1, part 2, part 3.
The tape gives us a rare glimpse inside a Scientology “org” and what it’s like to face the challenges of the “Bridge to Total Freedom.” Continue reading A voice from inside the Church of Scientology: Yes, the ‘Survival Rundown’ drives you insane
One of the many things the Church of Scientology has done as a reaction to Alex Gibney’s documentary, Going Clear, is to post numerous letters it wrote to Gibney and HBO in the lead-up to the film’s release, as well as in its aftermath.
Collected at the website of its propaganda magazine, Freedom, the letters vary in their interest for us. But one of them is really something to behold. It’s a long exegesis by one of Scientology’s longest-serving and most notable attorneys, Eric M. Lieberman (pictured). Continue reading Guest post: 20 reasons the Church of Scientology is a cult and a fraud
In October, we uncorked our big investigative story of 2014. It was the result of months of research and Skype calls to South Africa and lots and lots of lawyering.
We revealed that the richest Scientologists in the world, Bob and Trish Duggan, had a strange secret. We established that at the same time the California couple had been propping up Scientology in South Africa with huge donations, two of their adopted sons, one of whom was only 11, suddenly relocated there in the care of Scientology families. Continue reading Bob Duggan, the richest Scientologist in the world, is going to love our nifty new drawings!
The Church of Scientology continues to produce short videos as counter-programming to Alex Gibney’s hugely popular HBO documentary Going Clear, posting them at the website of its propaganda magazine, Freedom.

Former Scientology Sea Org worker Chris Shelton is helping us decode a remarkable audio recording, secretly made, which captures a man named Andres Rodriguez (pictured) giving a briefing to an audience of Scientology non-staff “publics.”
Rodriguez carries the title of Senior Case Supervisor of the Western United States (Snr C/S WUS), and he’s also notable because at one time he was married to the “handler” of actress Katie Holmes, a woman named Jessica Feshbach. (Feshbach is today married to former Scientology spokesman Tommy Davis, and they are both out of the Sea Org.) Continue reading More from a secretly-recorded executive griping about Scientology’s sad state of affairs
