Yesterday in Los Angeles, a state court judge denied the Church of Scientology’s latest attempt to delay a lawsuit alleging forced abortion and other abuses in the Sea Organization that has already taken nine years to reach trial, which is scheduled for August.
We mentioned the other day that former Scientology mission leader Dani Lemberger told us he assumes that Scientologists will be interrogated on whether they’ve been watching the new unwatchable Scientology TV network. Today we’re continuing to bring you highlights from a stunning new document found by historian Chris Owen, a 30-page affidavit by the “World’s first real Clear” — John McMaster. After our highlights, we’re posting the entire document in text and pdf forms.
Historian Chris Owen just keeps coming up with gems. He notified us this week that he’d made a killer find digging through some British government files — a 30-page affidavit submitted by the “World’s First Real Clear” — John McMaster — for the defense to use in a 1977 libel lawsuit filed by the Church of Scientology. It’s basically John McMaster’s testament to his career in Scientology, which is pretty amazing. Because it’s so long, we’ve divided it into two halves.
