Juliette shattering suppression: “The thing about Scientology is it is anti-drug in that you’re seeking relationship or communication tools – simple basics on how to live better.”

Juliette Lewis has had careers as both an actress and rock music performer, and she’s a lifelong Scientologist, having grown up in a family steeped in the organization. Her father, Geoffrey Lewis (1935-2015), was an OT 5 Scientologist and well-loved character actor.

Our Celebrity Centre source considers Juliette to be one of the few Scientology celebrities who might have a slight chance of actually leaving the church. Why? Our source says that although she has hardcore family members (like her sister Brandy, married to Scientologist actor Ethan Suplee), Juliette is more focused on her music these days than anything else in her life, and in that life she is surrounded by non-Scientologists. Also, her behavior has been erratic, and she’s been particularly unmoored since the death of her father. Over the years, we’ve also received some mixed messages from Juliette, who appears to read the Underground Bunker, at least on occasion.

An example of her mixed signals happened in December 2017, when Juliette tweeted support for accused rapist and fellow Scientology actor, Danny Masterson (“Love you and your beautiful family. It will get better. We know this”) but also posed for a photo wearing a Mars Volta T-shirt, a band fronted by Cedric Bixler-Zavala, who is married to one of Masterson’s accusers, Chrissie Carnell.

Erratic behavior? Signs that she’s a hardcore Scientologist but also with one foot out the door? That’s Juliette.
