Edgar shattering suppression: “Ron’s technical insight of the recording process was outstanding.”

Sunny Pereira: “Edgar is legally blind. I helped him during Christmas Stories. He came in to the Celebrity Centre early that day to practice on stage. If you’ve ever seen him perform, you wouldn’t know he can’t see. He practices out his set for as long as needed so he knows the stage well enough. I thought it was pretty cool. I had to bring him to the stage for his performance, which required holding his hand all the way from green room to the stage. Once on stage he was on his own.” Also: “His wife seemed much more interested in Scientology than he did.”

Says our Celebrity Centre source: “When Edgar first came into Scientology it was a huge milestone. One of the most respected blues/rock musicians was now a Scientologist. “Frankenstein” had been #1 on the charts. He helped get more musicians in and motivated those who were in to stay in. Edgar has stayed in Scientology because of his wife Monique. He has done very little on the Bridge. She is his handler. Over the years he has been trotted out to give credibility to big events. I’ve seen him numerous times at events. Edgar is a musician’s musician. He has very few Scientology friends as his world is music not Scientology. The sad thing is the credibility he gave to Hubbard’s Mission Earth album. It is a stain on an otherwise amazing musical career. Hubbard dabbled in music and lyrics. To call Hubbard professional would be extreme hyperbole. Edgar lending his talents has garnered some pretty nasty comments on YouTube videos regarding the Mission Earth album.”
