Frank Parlato is having too much fun at his blog as the leaders of Nxivm are, one after the other, getting the boom lowered on them in federal court. And now that Smallville actress Allison Mack has pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in September to perhaps up to 20 years in prison, Frank has posted a couple of videos of her singing.
The first is an a capella disaster Frank posted last week that was picked up by Emma Parry at the Sun. Unfortunately, Frank doesn’t have it set to be embeddable, and it seems to be technically glitchy as heck, but perhaps your browser will handle it better than ours did. It’s a performance from 2016 during “Vanguard Week,” and Mack is singing for Vanguard himself, Keith Raniere, at a large auditorium on Lake George. A capella is creepy enough on its own, but when it’s part of a celebration involving an alleged sex slavery operation that ended up branding women, the creepiness factor is off the charts.
And now, another video of Allison singing from her own Vimeo channel, with images of her at Sarah Edmondson’s baby shower in 2014. Lauren and Nancy Salzman are there too, as you can see in photos of the event that appear as Allison sings. Lauren and Nancy, like Allison, recently pleaded guilty to racketeering charges and are also looking at considerable time in prison.
Edmondson looks awfully grateful here for the attention from her friends at the baby shower, but a few years later the Canadian actress left the group and went to the New York Times with the story of how Mack had her held down so Keith Raniere’s initials could be burned into her pelvic region.
But yeah, Allison can carry a tune all right. What a shame.
