Rudy Giuliani is so off the rails now, it’s like he stole a cop car and is driving drunk in it

Attorney Scott Pilutik wrestles with the news of the day, from a lawyerly perspective…

[Regarding this story… Giuliani returns from Ukraine with new, very questionable “evidence” that the Bidens committed “multiple crimes”]

It’s hard to come up with a decent analogy for what Giuliani is doing right now, but imagine getting pulled over for drunk driving, stealing that cop’s car, and driving drunk in that. Something so boldly stupid that it’s hard to believe it’s actually happening.

You don’t need to dive deep into his latest allegations to know they’re warm garbage, because he’s chosen the OAN network to roll it out. OAN is basically where 4chan and Fox News intersect. It was almost singlehandedly responsible for pizzagate.

More telling perhaps is the cold reception Giuliani is getting from elected Republicans, last seen strenuously arguing a slew of hypothetical arguments in support of the President’s supposed non-corrupt state of mind. Rather than argue hypotheticals, why not pick up and run with Giuliani’s, uh, findings?

That is, if Giuliani is actually locating exculpating evidence as opposed to merely pretending to be, shouldn’t the Republicans want Giuliani front and center explaining it all?

Because if Republicans don’t actually believe that Giuliani has the goods (and they don’t) they’re beyond dishonest for continuing to spin what-ifs about matters Giuliani is making direct claims to. It goes beyond dishonest because they are effectively confirming the democrats’ theory of the case.
