HOW SCIENTOLOGY COERCED A CHILD TO HAVE AN ABORTION: THE LAURA DECRESCENZO FILES

HOW SCIENTOLOGY COERCED A CHILD TO HAVE AN ABORTION: THE LAURA DECRESCENZO FILES

—————- In anticipation of her biggest day in court yet, Laura DeCrescenzo and her attorneys hit the Church of Scientology with 928 pages of new filings —————- Details from 18,000 pages of evidence show how Scientology manipulated a child to keep her working under slave-like conditions —————- A key document describing DeCrescenzo’s unwillingness to have her coerced abortion is missing from the evidence Scientology was ordered to produce By Tony Ortega Wednesday afternoon, Laura DeCrescenzo filed explosive new information in her four-year legal odyssey against the Church of Scientology, submitting 928 pages of new declarations and exhibits in anticipation of a crucial October 23 hearing in her lawsuit against the church which alleges abuse, including allegations that she was forced to have an abortion at only 17 years of age. Key to the new filings is information gleaned from thousands of pages of previously secret files that the church fought mightily to keep under wraps. But on Monday, the U.

Jenna Miscavige Hill on Scientology’s New Dawn: “I Can’t Believe People Still Buy This BS”

JennaPoland1
We always love to hear from Jenna Miscavige Hill, niece to Scientology’s leader, David Miscavige, and a successful author. We wondered what she thought about last week’s hoopla over her uncle’s big gambit — to release a revamped “Bridge to Total Freedom” (the “Golden Age of Technology Phase II”) as well as opening the long awaited “Super Power Building.” She not only sent us some thoughts on Scientology’s big events, she also caught us up on what’s been happening in her world…

I can’t believe people still buy any of this BS about ‘discovery’ of ‘lost tech.’ It’s just such an obvious and blatant money making scheme.

As far as updates, all is well with the Hill family. We are just enjoying our life and freedom. I still have a few media things happening here and there. Balancing spreading the word about Scientology with living my life and raising my kids.

Since we last spoke, we went to Poland and did media there for the Polish book, which is doing quite well.

I am also very excited that my book was nominated in the Goodreads best Memior/Autobiography category and it is now a finalist! The voting is still open and the winner will be announced on Monday. I’m so grateful to everyone who voted.

Larry Wright’s book is also a finalist in the best nonfiction category.

I hope we both win! It is such a change from how things were a few years ago when people were afraid to talk about Scientology. This shows that people are really interested in learning about Scientology and we have all succeeded in raising important questions and suspicions.

She sent along a photo from the trip to Poland, here with her daughter Winnie.

Hey, let’s see what else our tipsters have sent to us this week. It’s that time of year again when Scientology, which believes that Jesus was just a mental implant which was stamped into our immortal thetans during a genocidal incident 75 million years ago, still like to pretend that they have the Christmas spirit. This year, rather than hear about how the R6 implant invented Jesus to keep us subservient to the Marcabian space confederation (or something), kids can come hear “Christmas Stories” told by these giant stars of stage and screen…

…er, big stars of TV and film…

…uh, middling names you may or may not have heard of…

Well, the talent pool may be a bit shallow these days, but the flier’s pretty!

I just decided to read Mr. Hawkins “Counterfeit Dreams”. I started the 1St chapter, only to realize that this was one of the first real accounts of inside the cult that I had read.. Back then it was a link to that. I thought it was a solitary essay at the time. It moved me so much then that I has to read more. I read Tory’s story from a link on Clambake. Started to read Ex Scientology kids. My, oh my. I was deeply moved by all of the stories I found there. Found Tony online and read “25 people crippling scientology”. You all can guess where that lead. Anyway I am going back to the book. Chapter two. Thank you Mr.Hawkins for a well told story. You had me the first time and left me screaming for more. Now I will enjoy this book even more. Thank you again sir. And thank you Tory for hooking me on your you tube channel. Keep up the fight. Horrible Orwellian nightmare!

    • Tory Christman

Thank you, Golden Age of Belch <<< Perfect Nick, too! :) Keep on keepin' on :) I'm so happy you

are part of my YouTube site (ToryMagoo44 on YT, for anyone new). We just made it to 11, 203 subscriptions and over 2 million 500+ Views!~ :) If you haven't subscribed, please do. Each person who does…helps that many more NOT ever get suckered "in", is my view. Glad you're here, GAB :)

      • Golden Age of Blech

DayWow. Thank you Tory for your bravery. You, Karen, and Tony are like anti_scientology Rock Stars to me. Just you responding to me is one of the best things today.

        • Tory Christman

          **blush** :)

          • Golden Age of Blech

Been a lurker a long time. Thought long and hard for a nickname that was super clever. I think I did well. Much love everyone. I am going back to my book.

          • Golden Age of Blech

And I almost forgot “The Wise Beard Man” Mark Bunker.

    • Hara

      “Orwellian nightmare” indeed.
I hope any “almost out” scientologists reading this blog will word clear “Orwellian” and “Dystopia.”
Because what Hubbard created was an Orwellian Dystopia.

      • Golden Age of Blech

There is an excellent article on OP clambake about the similarities of scientology and 1984. I read 1984 in Jr. High. I saw the parallels immediately.

        • Hara

Most people don’t know that LRH read 1984 too (it was published a few years before Dianetics), and liked it, for all the wrong reasons.

          • Golden Age of Blech

I believe that. I never thought he might have used that model on purpose. Scary the mind of a megalomaniac. He is “Big Brother” in every aspect. Do they have rat cages with head restrains in them in the RPF? It would not surprise me in the least.

            • Hara

We think along the same lines. Nicely stated.

            • Golden Age of Blech

              Thank you.

          • OrangySky

Exactly, Hara. LRH read 1984 as if it were IKEA assembly instructions for a cult.

            • Hara

Precisely. When normal people see 1984 as tragic, LRH saw it as a perfect way to subjugate minions. That’s the only explanation for his fixation on misunderstood words… he wanted his followers to have a limited and aberrated vocabulary

            • Golden Age of Blech

              “Double Speak”

            • Hara

              Plusgood post.

My 1st book was Blown For Good by Marc Headley. Highly recommend

      • ClamInAHalfshell

My first book was the one that’s available online…the life story of L.Wrong Hubbard. I’ll remember the title tomorrow.

  • SandiCorrena

OT but Breaking the Faith on TLC; wow – and they too are very fond of the word apostate too. What a mess!

    • Great White Clam

      What? Link? Descriptive narrative? Something….

      • SandiCorrena

It’s on TLC every Sunday and it’s about the FDLS – the similarities are striking; of course there are a lot of differences too. The word apostate comes up over and over. It’s the Warren Jeff’s cult. There were some brothers on earlier who have 62 siblings because of all the wives.

        • SandiCorrena

The women when they clean the house they “wash” with their right hand only; if they need to rinse the rag or whatever they switch to their left or un-pure hand. Once a month they clean literally ceiling to floor with a pail and a rag.

        • Great White Clam

FDLS?? You mean FLDS? TLC Tender Loving Care?

          I don’t get around much anymore…

          • SandiCorrena

TLC The Learning Channel is what I think that stands for.

            And you’re right the FLDS

            • Great White Clam

              Thank you.

            • Great White Clam

LOPL I thought Operating Thetans were somehow “Breaking the Faith” using Tender Loving Care or possibly an new drug related to THC, and were in a mess because there were apostates among ‘em and they had the gall to to be fond of the word.

What a mess! I finally got it. LOPL

            • Ardent

Laughing along with you. I was also baffled…The images were pretty rich! : )

            • PoisonIvyHerself

It stands for The Lowbrow Channel.

            • noseinabk

I remember when my kids and I would watch Trading Spaces on TLC. We loved it. When it started it was real, upbeat, and fun. Discovery channel with crocodile hunter was novel to us too. For about 1 year we saw this enthusiastic guy who loved nature and his job. . Unfortunately the authenticity disperses rather fast when the media attention starts.

            • KJP in Portland

When cable was younger, TLC had great documentaries, even war history documentaries. Then, they chose another direction and they look nothing like the original TLC. I won’t give them a minute of my time any more.

        • ClamInAHalfshell

The Church of Fundamentalist Latter-Day Saints. Wackadoo super-controlling cult: This time, with polygamy.

          • KJP in Portland

Guys that couldn’t get laid in The Real World end up with 15 wives and 86 children. Filthy, immoral, pedophile perverts!

            • ClamInAHalfshell

They’re all related to one another in the FDLS. They’re all cousins. They also end up with really odd genetic diseases due to genetic bottlenecking.

    • NeverIn

I recorded it – watching now – fascinating!

      • SandiCorrena

It is isn’t it! Very documentary-ish rather than sensationalized; very glad of that. Very sad, the one girl in her late teens/early 20’s who was in the water (which is usually forbidden because the devil controls the water) saying that was the most fun she’d had in months and months and she wasn’t even smiling in her joy.

    • whenpigsswim

If you want to see a current story about this – this is an interview with someone that recently escaped. Her sister had been trying to get her out for years. There is a lot of abuse in FLDS – both mental and physical. I’ve read some incredible books about it from those that have escaped.

      • kemist

Ah yes, those loonies who marry their 13-year-old girls to 60-year-old uncles and drop their teenaged sons on the side of highways to fend for themselves. And cash multiple welfare checks and call it “bleeding the beast”.

        Charming people.

        • noseinabk

Its all good Kem. When the 60 year old gets arrested or dies they can just pass the wife over to the next perve….uhhh guy.

          • kemist

Or if he somehow displeases the elders.

I read two books from survivors of this horror show, one from a man, another from a woman.

In the one from the woman, she described how her entire family, wives and kids, was “given” (as if women and children were valuable chattel to be used as rewards for obedience) to another man when her father fell in disgrace. They had to call the new owner “father”.

            • noseinabk

As a mom the most abhorrent thing about FLDS is that the moms would stand buy and let those old men use their daughters. And that those women gave themselves to some goober for years and get passed on to another husband?

            • KJP in Portland

Sounds similar to the brainwashing of CoB$!

I just can’t fathom that happening to my 14 year old sweetie. I’d turn into Rambo and (well, you can picture the rest). My daughter has barely started kissing boys her own age. 40+ year old men? Lock them up. Throw away the key. Put them on bread and water the first 10 years of their sentences!

            • gobsmackedby Scieno

Ownership of people again. I wonder if the heritage of slavery in America influences this in some way. Its really curious how repeated it is. I am not comparing the US to other countries in a better/worse way just that, as a non-American lover of your Constitution and the Brave and the Free, I’m mind boggled by this particular cognitive dissonance. Leader of the free world/Enslaved women and children. Is this thesis material? help me out here…

            • ClamInAHalfshell

It falls under the freedom of religion guaranteed by the First and Fourteenth Amendments of the Constitution. Unfortunately, groups like the FDLS and $cientology abuse this to the utmost.

          • KJP in Portland

Yeah, those older bastards live just as if pedophilia never existed…Hot dang! I gots me 145 children! I’m a stud! (no, you’re gonna serve the rest of your life in prison once the Feds catch up to your filthy ass)

          • KJP in Portland

I hope and pray that “Mr.” Jeffs has lost his ‘virginity’ by now :D

            • noseinabk

I know it is not PC. But when I think of what that POS has stolen from so many girls? I have no mercy.

            • KJP in Portland

Amen brother. Swine like him are at the bottom of slime bucket. I have a teenage daughter (almost 15) and I go blind with internal rage whenever I come across the accounts I have read about that maggot and his ‘cronies’.

There should be many more of the males (er, husbands) in prison. The government needs to get more involved and remove the women and children, give them adequate places to restart their lives, and a TON of psychiatric support. Then, lock up all the men and throw away the key!

        • whenpigsswim

You got it Kemist – those people. The “lost boys” and the girls and women fare worst. The older men fare best. Lots of fear and abuse used to control the group – sound familiar?

      • KJP in Portland

Yeah, the FLDS. The church that says, marry that 12 year old girl! They are very repugnant. I’m glad Mr. Jeffs won’t see a day of freedom ever again. He’s another monster that got his Karma.

        • whenpigsswim

KJP – Unfortunately he still holds sway over the group and is allowed to call the congregation and preach his prophet BS from prison. Ruby mentions it in the video and I’ve read the same thing in other news stories.

          • KJP in Portland

I know…how the hell does the prison or court allow that! It just baffles me to no end that a life-conviction inmate is still allowed to run his ‘sect’. Just. Baffles. Me.
