No, I LOVE the humanity, the emotion, the love. All the things that Scn drilled out of us.

You weren’t “drama queen” at all! You were passionate and poised – it was just very touching! It is such an evil component and I’m glad you spoke out. That’s what helps people realize this is not normal or ok – it’s in fact evil and very damaging! If the technology “worked” as it’s supposed to, they wouldn’t need to threaten disconnection. If you are “more able, more capable and free” then why would one be restricted in what they read, view or with whom they interact be such a big deal? But it doesn’t, not the way they claim. So instead disconnection is one of many tools of control and limitation. Hearing what you and others have gone through and that it’s NOT normal or healthy may help break the chains for those lurking. I hope some parents or OSA read your experience and hope that it breaks through and touches their hearts that Scio spends so much effort trying to cut people off from acknowledging they have… Love, family, nurturing and feeling… These are basic human needs and Scientology denies these. Didn’t mean to drama queen. Disconnection really bothers me, always did. Always always did. As a child, I watched my grandparents fear of it. My relatives, who might have intervened on our behalf, were either worried they would lose contact with our DAD, or thought they would lose what limited contact they had with us. It is evil blackmail, and just the threat of it is enough to do damage. Reading about Ramana’s story, an adult with a child of her own…and then Sid’s ad, an innocuous ad saying “call me,” is bullied into silence. I move on, I live my life, and then stuff like this always reminds me that disconnection, and the damage it does, is always there. It is there as a threat, then it is there as a promise, then it is there as a reality, then, if you are “lucky,” it is there as an experience you live through.

I’m an AAA as well, but I belive that we, as citizens of the planet, have a responsibility to praise and nurture good works wherever we them, no matter their source. And by “good,” I mean golden rule-y, beneficial actions that make the world a better place.

As for how we react to cruel, vindictive and nasty actors out there? I think we have quite a toolkit here in the Bunker: Tireless, impeccable, journalistic investigation. Fearless protest from former members and never-ins. Social media persistence, and an endless well of J&D to make the medicine easier to deliver.
