Obviously you missed what I said. AA results are equal to the results you’d get by not entering rehab. That makes AA harmful, because it claims to have a solution that it doesn’t have, and diverts people who need help from groups that have far better results.

In various places, the ONLY option a court will give you is AA, NA, or GA. Since Twelve Step programs like Alcoholics, Narcotics, and Gamblers Anonymous do not work, a court ordered referral to such a program is useless. I’ll go further. A court ordered referral to that sort of program is HARMFUL to the addict.

Twelve Step Programs have a strong religious component, much like Narconon, and are as effective.
