Kirstie Alley, Scientology celebrity

kirstie_alley

Current lifetime: Born January 12, 1951 in Wichita
Most famous for: Roles in Cheers, Look Who’s Talking and numerous other films and TV shows, all eclipsed by public obsession with her weight gain and loss
Joined Scientology: In 1979 after it helped her with a cocaine addiction
Fun Scientology completion: Super Power, 2014
Kirstie shattering suppression: “It is not true that you cannot [leave the church]…You’re not shunned, you’re not chased. All that stuff’s bullshit.”

Alley is among those our Celebrity Centre source says is a “Bitter Ender,” someone who has completely bought in to the Hubbard way of thinking and won’t be defecting any time soon.

Says our source: “She’s always been kind of a wacked-out person, and at this point, I think that it’s the only thing that kind of gives her credibility in her own mind. Her career is pretty much no place, she doesn’t need money. So she would really lose it if she didn’t have the stability that the church gives her.”
