Videos capture Scientology’s bizarre ideas about Clearwater election and Mark Bunker

[Mark Bunker and Ryan Prescott]

Clearwater is holding an election on March 17 for mayor and two city council seats. Scientology is worried that critic Mark Bunker might win seat 2 on the council and is supporting his opponent Eliseo Santana Jr., an army veteran and retired worker for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Santana is not affiliated with the church.

Enter Ryan Prescott to help ensure Bunker doesn’t win. The California native is now based in Portland and works as a Volunteer Minister on Scientology’s disaster response efforts. He’s a second generation Scientologist whose name is on self-published books that attack former members Mike Rinder, Leah Remini, Amy Scobee and others. From their tables of contents it is clear that Prescott has merely re-written Scientology’s “dead agent” packs on these individuals.

In this video Prescott announces his coming to Clearwater to help mayoral candidate Frank Hibbard and to defeat Mark Bunker. Sadly for him, Hibbard and Bunker are running in separate races. Prescott also attacks mayoral candidate Elizabeth “Sea Turtle” Drayer, a retired attorney and former EPA employee. Attempts to reach Drayer were unsuccessful, but we received a response from Mark Bunker on the video.

It is so good to see he has the true data on me. In 1970 when I was disguised as a tubby 14 year old kid in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the FBI and CIA enlisted me to infiltrate Scientology and caused what I assume were the crimes that sent Hubbard’s wife and other top officials to be sent to prison in years to come for what would appear to be the covert operations discovered when my FBI masters raided Scientology’s headquarters in L.A. and Washington D.C. in the late 70’s.

I was such a devious 14-year-old that I predicted Hubbard would leave the safety of international waters and sneak into Clearwater five years before Hubbard even thought of doing it There was nothing for me to do but lay low for another 49 years until I surfaced to run for city council to put into motion my truly evil purpose of destroying all religion in Clearwater to harm the very city itself.

I think Ryan has shown me the error of my ways and I need to turn myself around and atone. I may not be welcomed into Scientology but I would offer myself to help with Ryan’s four-day mission here. I will happily speak at his rallies and join him for any events he’d like.

Together I know we can get Hibbard elected to seat 2 on the council which will likely piss him off because he is running for mayor which is seat 1 but I don’t want to invalidate Ryan. After all, what is true for him is true. As for being an alien, well truth be told so is Sea Turtle. That is a mere Marcabian guise that she has adopted to lead me on our cosmic quest in this sector of the galaxy.

In the promised part 2 of this briefing Prescott attacks former mayor Gabe Cazares for taking over the Guardian’s Office and being behind their infiltration of U.S. Government offices. This is untrue and did not happen. He then spins a tale of L. Ron Hubbard coming to a near-abandoned city of Clearwater to bring life back to the area.

The truth is that the 1970s were a period of expansion in Clearwater. It was not until the 2000s that population growth slowed, an era in which Scientology has dominated the downtown area. Prescott takes shots at the Tampa Bay Times and reporter Tracey McManus for allegedly discriminating against Scientology. It’s a rambling 27 minute mess of a briefing, but it is the line that Scientology is feeding its membership about Clearwater in general and the city elections later this month. There is every indication that they believe it.

“A radio ad in the Los Angeles area in l950 was pulling in 125 new people a night. They came in, they were given cards, they were given a very bright lecture, they were very interested, they were given these cards to fill out as to whether or not they wanted training and processing, and what was their home address and phone number. The cards were handed out to them. The organization left them on the chairs, they fell off the chairs and on the floor, and eventually an old showman, the janitor, sort of got the idea maybe he shouldn’t be burning up all this trash and started turning them into me directly…That was the operating line of PE, l950. The organization was making a fortune, until it all just went bong bang crash thud bong on just too much Dev-T, out-ethics, dishonesty, various things. Somebody decided he’d like to cut himself a whole piece of the organization, things of this character. But the organization could be put back together again to run at that high rate of speed anytime, any minute. We have found out it doesn’t matter what the papers say, it doesn’t matter what Time Magazine says, it doesn’t matter what the psychiatrists say, the word of mouth in the streets, it doesn’t matter one bit at all. It doesn’t matter how many football matches, it doesn’t matter how many this, how many that and so forth. An effective, efficient organization which is viably running and so forth, makes a mint.” — L. Ron Hubbard, March 1, 1972

“LRH admits in the OT2 materials that Clear is unstable. I have also noticed heavy deterioration in people who just scratch the surface of OT3/NOTs and stop for whatever reason. A lot of Clears + OTs have left the body but none seem to have returned with good recall, LRH included. I see living on this planet as a continual pulling down of the individual making regular auditing a necessity just to stay level.”

“Crowley adherents take the man at his word just like you-know-who do. They don’t understand he was a showman B.S.-artist and it was all about the sex and drugs. They believe in ‘magick’.”
