I should also add, that Toronto is an interesting case, not just because of Gregg Haglund’s work and activism, and his being subject to fair game, but because of several other insider accounts of what went on at the org as well. Unfortunately there seems to be a dearth of current information, perhaps because there is so little activity and so few people left. There’s also quite a bit of information about Buffalo from the same period, when, though curious circumstances, it presented the opportunity to become what was perhaps the first “ideal” org; and more recent reports about how Denver went ideal (such as at least one prominent family cashing in significant retirement funds) and what their statistics including active membership have been since, combined with confirming information from Seattle that a lot of “ideal” orgs in substantial cities seem to rely on an active member base of just 50-70 people and then perhaps another 50 or so who live further afield (often where there were once active missions) or will show up for major events.
