This. I did contact my Congressman after Season 1 of Aftermath and got a call back from their office. I’m in a district in Virginia where the Scientology population might be 2, though that’s doubtful, and still got a personal call back-so it’s not as if Scn is a constituent issue here, but I think the guys in the Congressman’s office may have been watching the show, too, and were curious to hear my take. Curiosity leads to informing leads to outrage. I’m a never-in and, especially to us, we see no reason for or allegiance to this cult and as Congress welcomes younger, hipper members, they will also be TV watchers and social media users that are hearing, like us, about this cult and will have the impetus to act.

John, if what you are insinuating here is true – and you have provided no links, no facts or figures – then this kind of thinking is an easy out for the IRS to continue to do nothing. I would think that Leah Remini and the producers from A&E would be bright enough to go where the source of the IRS financing is: specifically Senator Chuck Grassley, whom has for many decades conducted his politics in ways beneficial to the Scientology cult, and its various front groups like CCHR.

Since Tony Ortega has never mentioned Grassley’s work for Scientology, I doubt therefore Remini will even consider it – that is, going right to the horse’s mouth to get answers to her questions.
