Oh my gosh you just reminded me of a MOST uncomfortable meeting I went to on my first professional job …. I was 18 and had lived a very sheltered life so I was in this meeting surrounded by men and they were talking about issues and throwing out the acronym “PMS”! I thought what the heck????? I turned so red and knew they must have been referencing something else …… it took me a LONG time to get enough courage to go to the men and ask what they were referring to ….. 🙂

I have to get some sleep! I have been doing a special project and have been knee deep in research so haven’t had as much time to devote to reading my favorite blog!! Then I got food poisoning and it really has taken a toll on me (still hard to eat and sleep but thank goodness I have been able to get down water and Gatorade for the last 3 days) but I have to attend a 3 day conference and play nice (I will have to win an Oscar 😆😆😆😆) so will be further drained from that ordeal! Had to create briefing slides from a research project I have done for someone to brief but that just means I will undoubtedly get pulled into the discussion topic ….. 😕😕😕😕😕😕

Vanity is a terrible thing. …. I would have NEVER guessed that nor was even CLOSE!!! Seems to me that the Aftermath producers and lawyers didn’t have any problem with the optics before. Now, suddenly, they do? Why the change? I guess we won’t know the reasoning behind the cancellation until A&E issues an official statement. I just don’t see what LEGAL or ETHICAL problem is at stake here…and for whom. If Scientology’s perceptions and accusations of bias held any sway, A&E wouldn’t have bothered greenlighting “Aftermath” in the first place.

The location of the event is irrelevant. The concern about A&E taking sides is a distraction…a red herring. The real source of the cult’s worry is this: a Christian church is openly condemning and taking a bold stand against Scientology’s abuses. It so happens that stand aligns with what Leah is doing in “Aftermath” which is EXPOSING a dangerous cult. It’s not “bias” or “favoritism” that makes Scientology quiver; it’s the steady building of a community ALLIANCE in the heart of Clearwater. Best of all (or worst, depending on your view), that bond is gaining strength.

When I see outside entities and organizations holding events in CO$ buildings I do connect them as somehow giving their tacit approval of the CO$ and their policies.

Well that’s because often THEY ARE (or they are the most clueless, uninformed groups who ignore the controversies surrounding Scientology). We know that the cult is invested in “safe pointing” community leaders and drawing in new recruits which are their ONLY reasons for inviting non-Scientologists on to its premises. Not so with Calvary Baptist Church. They willingly opened their doors to invite anyone to discuss a subject of common concern. The goal was not to proselytize but to share.

I think that’s why it fascinates the Wog World….”trending” lol
