Lol yep I worked as a cocktail waitress in a sports bar – SO remember those nights (& mornings getting the kids up!!!) but it was great work as a single mom because whenever short on bills, just pick up another shift & life’s ok again! Hard work, but was handy!

Always..ha..I worked at the time as a bartender.. closing the bar at like 3 .. so I was so exhausted..

When they went to school I got them up and went back to bed.. Absolute Heaven.

Lol thankfully my dog gives the kids the same look I do if they wake up earlier than usual! But yep, always someone who needs us sleeping less than we want!

I like to hope for the best in people but BD lost me when I read about the adopted children they shipped off – heartbreaking!

Just so you don’t feel too bad, we (Americans) really like all the incarnations of Sherlock Holmes.

I disagree, because I live with the results of people who do not have any voice. People in small businesses had the same opportunities as everyone else before it became legal for corporate dollars to support political platforms. I am seeing that more often than not, public policy is being written to favor corporations over people; or money over non-money.

So we disagree – but I still love you <3

I’m not really talking about candidate selection. I’m talking about the issues that are raised to the forefront – and also the issues that are dealt with silently in back-room deals.

The government is by the people and for the people. It is important to hear the people’s voices. They don’t always have all the answers. But resources cannot be allocated appropriately if too many voices are silenced.

This is how our country was able to run until Citizens United. I am old enough to remember how it was before. Since then, political campaigns seem mired in ad hominem rather than explaining issues and proposing solutions.
