Thanks. I’ve tried to find the dates but searching through comments is difficult to say the least. Your dates make sense as they place it on the same weekend as it was this year. That date a good weekend for us and we hope to be there. Have a great trip to New England. Sounds like you go either to a place deep in the woods away from digital connections . . . or maybe to a meditation retreat . . . or you just find your inner Henry David Thoreau for a while. Anyway, hope it’s a wonderful getaway.

Hi Mrs IL. ! The dates were posted. Not absolutely sure but I “think” I remember that they are June 22-24. I’m doing well, very busy, not knitting as much this summer. But will definitely bring knitting to Chicago. 🙂 I sure hope you and Mr can make it. It’s driveable from Toledo. 4.5 hours. Going to New England next week for 2 weeks . . . away from internet and missing my daily Bunker fix. 🙁 Will be fun catching up when I get back. Take care.

Great idea Lynne, now that I think about it. You are right; someone needs to do a TED talk on the criminal syndicate masquerading as a religion known as scientology. I could think of a great format, start with quotes from Hubbard to show what is policy and to explain how we need to provide safe haven for people leaving a cult, then show the actual evidence of what scientology is known for and why they are crumbling and how we have to be aware of the human trafficking that is keeping their membership from zero as they continue their march as the world’s fastest shrinking religion. Claire or Chris Shelton might be the best possible speakers. Watching Claire in person at Howdycon was enlightening. I suspects she did not want to do that speech but knew it was part of her personal therapy. I have been disconnected by two business partners, and Lucile Boshe, the pre-clear, lied about her daughter’s experience in Narconon. They tried to give her drugs for sex (she’s very attractive, 5’2 100 pounds,) and only escaped by first finding a small hole under a fence barrier she was small enough to scoot under and breaking a frosted bathroom window that was barefly 24 inches by 12 inches tall, the only window without bars she could find. F*** that cult.

Harpoona, sorry to be slow in getting back to you – been busy – and am going to keep it short since this is now on an old post.

I had predicted that the CofS would eventually try to use material from Rathbun’s videos. I was going to write, that I have to admit to being surprised to their using them in entirety – but we’ve also now seen that they started linking to them before Rathbun was actually done posting the series, which once again suggests to me that things are not exactly highly orchestrated.

Rathbun certainly seems to me to have flipped back to scientological thinking – and the end-justifies-the-means dark side of that, which could mean that he doesn’t care if some of what he does also suits Miscavige’s agenda. All the incongruities and sloppiness leave me suspicious that something more complex is at work – and not just misdirection and double-curves, either.

I’m still not ruling out that there is some sort of at least tacit or covert coordination of mutual interests behind the scenes, but I doubt it is as direct as many are assuming.

I also remain suspicious that Rathbun is deliberate provoking theorizing and providing ambiguous signals that will inevitably lead to incorrect conclusions, so that eventually he can trot out facts about at least a couple of points and use it to show how right he was about how wrong the ASC is.
