McCain has been an embarrassment to the people of AZ for awhile now… much like Joe Arpaio was. We finally got a new county sheriff, but sadly McCain’s still our senator.

It’s a good theory considering Rathbun’s arrogance, but it doesn’t explain these videos. If the title of his last book is yet another indication, he still thinks of himself as a “Scientology Warrior”. I’m also pretty sure Marty knew that what he did to the attorneys would be illegal if he obtained an outside settlement directly from the CofS. I hope the firm is pursuing at least collection of the amounts owed for the work that was done.

How does money put Marty back in trouble? Marty strikes me as the kind of person who always looks out for his best interests both inside & outside of “the church”. I don’t think he & his wife would have just dropped the suit (especially how & when it was done – burning his attorneys like that was shameful), without there being some behind the scenes financial incentive or agreement with DM to do so. Just my opinion based on everything I’ve read/seen about the situation. Unless I’m missing something, it just doesn’t pass the sniff test. Marty may be arrogant and a bully, but he doesn’t appear stupid. He strikes me as a man with a lot of secrets and something to hide… much like DM does.
