Hey, I know that new Scilon Office Building, and what is more ( seriously, this is too good to be true, but it is!), my GF used to call it “The Death Star” or, alternatively, “The Venturan Death Star: Home of Vedet’s Personal Imperial Accountants and, Anne D. Rule ONE is Don’t Piss Off The Judge!
Always …
DMs lawyer must have bought himself a box of Depend undergarments, where normally that would not be a consideration.
SO … regarding:
“Defendants have expressed to the Court their concerns that direct contact to Scientology parishioners from a civil court about Scientology justice proceedings may cause alarm of such individuals, who did not assume their identities and contact information would be disclosed to a court without notice … ”
AND:
” … parishioners may raise questions about such contacts with appropriate Church officials … may decline to discuss the matter until contacting such persons.”

As a former Paralegal, I am just a second guesser, but I can picture these things jumping off the paper to the Judge.
“NOTICE” is a Legal Term, and is easily satisfied by Publication parameters set by Law for all Legal Notices. BTW, that would be well served through the many publications and communication systems the church has at its disposal. While they’re at it … the ‘appropriate church officials’ could add to this Legal notice that there would be an Amnesty of Confession for any and all participants who are called. In fact that might be a legal requirement the church has no choice BUT to add.
