I talked with her about it last year but now she gets it. She compared it to the flds shows she had seen before watching the A&E show. Now she will be observing with a new perspective. Last year she was more dismissive of it than she is now.

I get it, if you haven’t read it then I would recommend the book by Margaret Atwood, also a podcast did a dramatic retelling of it, Secrets, Crimes and Audiotape. It’s a great story!

I agree with you about TC & DM, but I wasn’t a fan of Cruise’s acting or movies even before I knew about the scn connection. I think the last one I saw that I enjoyed was ‘Rainman’… but that had more to do with the story line and Dustin Hoffman’s portrayal in the film. The irony of Moss’s role in ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ is just more than I can handle at the moment, and would definitely detract from the whole experience for me.

But kittens are so squishy and squirmy, hard to get them to hold still long with only a big mouth and jaws. 😉

It’s a terrific series and moves pretty fast with lots of twists and turns, I think you’ll enjoy it. For her to take that part at all makes me think she’s at least keeping some distance from Scientology, maybe stalled on doing services and hopefully having some serious second thoughts. All the acting is terrific, but Moss is making a name for herself with some stellar performances that just keep getting better. It’s like she is living the part. Like Tony says, it’s hard to imagine her not having second thoughts of Scientology’s treatment of staff, regular public and the Sea Org.

Some 9 out of 10 or more who were born into it eventually left.

Ok, to each their own, I feel the same way about Cruise, but only because he has taken much-documented advantage of his status as buddy to DM.

It was so good, in fact, that I think she must be at least on the fence, if quietly. When was the last time she made a public statement supporting Scientology? Does anyone know?
