I liked her in Mad Men (which was before I learned that she was a Scientologist), but even there she had the 1000 yard stare that I’ve come to associate with Scientologists and which makes their acting work so one note (one tone?). Most good actors can portray a whole range of emotions through the use of their eyes and I’ve noticed that Scientologists just can’t do this, probably caused by their TR work.

Some have made this trait the central characteristic of their roles (see Tom Cruise) and it somehow fits with the roles they choose, but for others it just doesn’t work as it makes them come across as hard and emotionless.

And if the role asks for something else than hard and emotionless…..
