arcinva, good points. I was thinking of the big stars typically associated with Scientology – and who get noted, when they come out for Scientology events. I failed to take Prepon and Moss into consideration – but then again, that’s partly because they don’t seem to affiliate themselves too strongly with Scientology, or to openly credit Scientology with their success like some of the celebs do. I also didn’t find much for them in the lists of Scientology course completions, which could suggest that they’re really not too involved – though it could be that as celebrities, their more recent completions have been kept under wraps. They are young-ish, and it will be interesting to see how their careers and Scientology involvement play out. And typical of Scientology’s actors, neither has won a major industry award like an Oscar or an Emmy.

Laura Prepon and Elizabeth Moss are doing alright. And I wouldn’t necessarily fault Beck for not charting in recent years. If you’ve seen the music that charts these days, you’ll notice that rock is very much NOT represented. Nor is much genuine talent (strip away costumes, dancing, and auto-tune). I’ll admit, I have a soft spot for Beck… even though he’s one.

According to claims of the documentary Going Clear, her acquaintance with Cruise was not accidental and the Church of Scientology prepared and planted her for this role. The church also vetted her along with dozens of other women as a potential wife for Cruise, but she was not selected.

Boniadi later left the Church of Scientology and now calls herself a “non-practising Muslim”.
Boniadi is a spokeswoman for Amnesty International USA (AIUSA), with a focus on the unjust conviction and treatment of Iranian youth, women and prisoners of conscience.
