Tent City is gone – one of the first acts of new Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone was to shut it down: It was costing the county way more money than it ever saved. Turns out that the county jails were only about 70% full and the inmates (non-violent offenders to begin with) were easily accommodated indoors. It will also cost a LOT more for the next 3 years until the MCSO has fulfilled it’s mandatory federal monitoring thanks to Joe “anything for a photo op” Arpaio. Wouldn’t be a bit surprised if Arpaio ends up with a Alzheimer’s or dementia diagnosis before he’s sentenced as well.

my best guess as to why the mayor and politician were there is because those politicians also do appearances in other local church’s and probably had to , to avoid getting accused of bigotry and discrimination, -politics-
