Lol in that case the 2 little ones are “bonus” since my elder 2 were in high school when we started over.
Yeah it hurt to have him disconnect but it was also shocking to see it happen in our lives AFTER knowing all we do.

I thought that “bonus son” meant that you had a son long after the rest of your kids. (Laughing at myself). I’m sure that it still hurts to have someone like that disconnect from you.

My bonus son (we met the fam through church years ago – their son was really troubled & had family stuff going on, he became family to us & he’d respond to me when he wouldn’t listen to parents or anyone) met a girl who’s family has been deep in. We’d told him all about CO$ He knew I was a vocal critic and saw all we went through when my husband’s Scio boss tried to recruit him. I’d even told him if he joined he’d be forced to disconnect & he laughed it off saying “that’d never happen, you’re ‘Mom!'”. Well, the GF became staff, became an auditor, he moved in w/her family and suddenly they “helped him” take out a big loan to do his purif and prepay for services and shortly thereafter he went from coming to stay at our house every few weeks to pretending we didn’t exist. He’s not Sea Org and stopped working for a Scio company – but he’s definitely drinking the Kool Aid HARD CORE! 😢No SO as of yet thank goodness!

Glad you relaxed & had a lazy weekend! Hope you’re feeling back to normal soon. Yeah we lived in OC forever then moved to Riv after the little ones were born so we could afford for me to be home w/them. Most of our fam is in SD and OC. I get cabin fever so I’m always happy to get out and go see grown ups! Lol

I still don’t have all of my energy back, but I’m feeling SO much better.

I go through the Riverside area on the way to San Diego all the time, and I occasionally go to L.A. to visit friends. I grew up there, but all of my friends that I grew up with now live elsewhere.

I take it that your son is in Co$. At least, he’s not in the sea org, I hope.

Sorry to hear you got it so badly! Ugh this flu was wicked and we’d only been sick for 3-4 weeks but I had some kidney issues before that so that’s likely why it hit me harder than expected. You getting your energy back now? I’m still feeling tired easily but symptoms mostly went away about a week ago. Take good care of yourself! I’m in the Riverside area but go out to OC a lot still since that’s where we used to live, so let me know if you ever need a helping hand. We’ve got family in SD and friends in the greater LA area so I’m happy to drive and help a friend! XO
Yeah Phil & Willie have been amazing through all this and I am so thankful that they can see Emily at least in pics and know she’s doing ok. I couldn’t fathom not knowing where or how my kids were and be unable to even get info – agreed, my heart aches for those dealing w/that kind of disconnection! At least my bonus son still talks to his parents and sister so I know he’s ok, though he won’t talk to me because of my “big opinionated mouth he doesn’t need to hear about his (so-called) church.” Lol! Lori H’s story always gets me… there’s another amazing person fighting this.

I’m almost back to normal. My bout with the flu was much worse than anyone else I know. I have a friend who now has it, (he didn’t get it from me) and it looks like his bout will only last a couple of weeks, but he definitely tires easily and is coughing. I came down with it Jan. 3rd.

Phil and Wilie are heroes. Maybe they are tilting at windmills, but they are fighting the good fight, and it’s obvious that they’re giving $cientology fits. Since their daughter has such a high visibility job, she can’t be put in a lower condition because she isn’t handling her parents, because it would immediately become obvious.

At least they know where she and her brother is, which is a lot better than many parents who had their children sucked in. I grieve with those people.

With the Danny Masterson rape story, $cientology is really in a pickle. I’m sure that they know all 3 of the women involved, because they all were $cientologists when the rapes occurred. The story has to be giving Ratcavige fits.

As I posted a while ago on today’s Bunker, I’m sure that $cientology has gone to ClamCon 5 over Masterson.

Thank you! It was rough… we just finally kicked the last of that flu this past weekend! I sent a pic of your comment to my friends who’s son is in and I know it touched their hearts! Thank you! Just scary that they can still manage to pull people in right now. He even knew our own experiences w/my husbands old boss and I’d shown him this blog and sent some book titles to him and yet he still was sucked in. That’s why that billboard and all the awareness is SO much more important than many realize! You’re going to HowdyCon this year, right? I told the hubby I CAN’T miss it under ANY circumstance this time and CO is so much closer to us this time!
