The mashup is better than any Scientology ad I’ve ever seen. As Tony says, because the ads are so formulaic the images seem to complement the narration. Well done!

I think that ad is weak and wierd compared to previous years’ ads, which were not so great either but had better music IIRC? We start with the upstate car, but cut immediately to some fairly low budget-looking flank steak-ish thing. Then we have a woman sensuously licking a lollipop, and a feather caressing a woman’s neck. In real life, wouldn’t that sort of 2D activity get you written up?

Finally and oddly, we have bubblegum I believe being chewed and a child on a trampoline which I believe lacked safety barriers. Oh well; no money for safety nets in the budget when you have to save it for Cob’s next fundraising appeal.

I can’t imagine anyone actually becoming a Scientologist because of this sad ad. But I guess that’s not the point. It is, however, still more evidence, perhaps, of the cult’s ongoing implosion, hmmmm?
