Sadly no way to see the “Why TRs” movie without sneaking into a Saint HIll Org and get the film projector person to show it for you. It’s not been leaked, nor have average Tech Films ever leaked.

It sure would be required material to see though, since no where else does Hubbard say that Scientologists will have to go on memory when they find themselves on OTHER planets up the road and they will try to put in Scientology, thus they need to remember the basics like TRs really really good so they can run a TRs course from memory, as is shown in the movie briefly with the young 14 year old male character running a TR course and lecturing to students on some future planet somewhere.

It’s an important sci fi ish Tech Film, and Isaac plays the narrator and Isaac’s set is a spectacular space observatory platform type of thing which lets Isaac use this special telescope to look at any planet in the universe from Isaac’s space platform observatory thing.

It’s one of the trippiest movies Hubbard wrote.

Incidentally, my favourite passage in “The Art of War” would have been incomprehensible to Hubbard.

Thanks for the reminder to all of us! I’ve always been fascinated by how remarkably Scientology dovetailed with the completely unrelated cult I escaped from, though the content of their ‘beliefs’ could not be more different. As your book expertly shows, they’re all the same at bottom, because they all have the same goal: controlling humans. I really appreciate the wide view you have taken, and can recommend Opening Minds to everyone.
