My Greyhounds have and it isn’t very pretty. Worse was at night when they caught a huge male skunk. Took 10 mins. for them to kill it. All three got sprayed so bad but didn’t stop. They’ll jump up and knock the squirell out of the tree. One can catch flies..

I tried Xubuntu, because it promised to run on old hardware, but found it didn’t, particularly. The upstart Lubuntu did, and that’s what I now use for that purpose. I forget what GUI is uses, but it is minimalist.

One nice feature of Linux : GUI is totally decoupled from OS and shell.

What that means is that you can install any GUI you like on your distro. They can even coexist and you may chose whichever you want on login. If one of your “users” does not like Gnome or Unity because they differ too much from Windows, you can easily install another interface for them with the package manager. Former Windows users will often prefer something like KDE.

I’m a minimalist when it comes to GUI. I found a relatively obscure one called Xfce (comes preinstalled with a subdistro called Xubuntu).

I was at another event today, sorry. This could explain why the attendance was thin where I was at.
