Why would Carrey even have access to the security cam footage? Even if he paid for it. (I’m not sure how it works, but I would guess one needs a password to access home security camera footage.)

This is so sad, and quite unbelievable that someone as beautiful as Cat couldn’t find someone to marry her for real. I guess she was holding out for a Hollywood type, but couldn’t quite seal the deal. But it’s been obvious from the get go that Mark is being manipulated by the church to file this lawsuit. The church never lets anyone go, without getting their pound of flesh. There is probably an agreement that Michael takes on the case pro bono, with the promise that a big chunk goes to the church afterwards. It’s clear as day what is going on here. I hope Jim fights this tooth and nail.

I’m English, and even I have a shrewd idea that the US authorities would take a dim view of such antics.

However I take your point. A Scientologist, advised by a Scientology lawyer (who will put the interests of the CofS above those if his client) might not see any problem until the ‘cuffs go on.

In reply to Once_Born. I certainly would not presume he is aware of the legal jeopardy he placing himself in. Did Scientology lawyer advise him exposure as committing immigration fraud could send him to prison? I doubt it. Do ordinary citizens know this? Again I doubt it.
