I agree. Sometimes it could be just that one program, dispatch or LRH advice that makes sense out of the entire mess like ‘ruin utterly’ order. I wish I’d kept stuff now but am pretty sure I’m going to do ok without it. I’ve noticed the healthier and saner I get I can remember more. I’ll have to ask Chuck if he knows of an archive. Jeffery once told me he sends his stuff off to a college collection at least that what I thought he said. I would ask before tossing anything else. Back when I did toss boxes I didn’t know there were blogs interested in this or I would have checked there first.

One of the nicest touches at the Freewinds occurred when I found a piece of chocolate on my bedding, each day, I believe when the beds were made (or turned down in the afternoon? I’ve forgotten exactly when).

I bet we have met or, at the very least, we may have nodded at each other as we past each other in the hallway.

I’ve never heard of the small island, “Klein Bonaire,” not until now, that is. I made it to the Habitat (at least I think that’s what they called the time share/condo that we were able to use to change into our swimming gear. There, I got to learn how to swim between coral. Later, we explored underwater where we found a sheer dropoff; water so deep and dark.

In Bonaire by the dock I got to see a fish, the Silver Dollar, I believe, as round as a tractor trailer’s tire!

Did you also have a chance to go over to the small island “Klein Bonaire”. 🙂

Yes, for 13 years (till 1999), working in the hotel division.
The place you mentioned was gorgeous and I/we went often there for a swim; such clear water next to the pier. Did you make it also to the small island “Klein Bonaire”? 🙂

If I remember correctly, I arrived at the ship mid-1989. Security, however, didn’t allow me aboard because I had arrived without an IAS membership, Mary Beth, the non-Sea Org public person who the ship had hired to take care of their books (financial audits) from the inception of the orgs (FSSO and MCL), couldn’t handle being on the ship due to being pregnant. Mary Beth kindly originated paying my annual membership, and they let me on board.

We had offices on the “C” deck, cabins that had been temporarily converted to working areas.

I loved the water, pluvo, at all three islands, but I think I liked Bonaire the most. The ship’s schedule included only Aruba, Curaçao, and Bonaire. By the third week (I stayed eight weeks), I had learned how to dive with snorkeling gear, taught by Carl, at the ship for OT VIII and an underwater diver by profession). But from my very first arrival at Bonaire, I learned how to run from the ship as soon as we docked (Tuesdays at noon). Across the street from the dock stood the “Dive In,” where I’d rent snorkeling gear and swim for half an hour before I needed to get back for lunch.
