Thank you for your thoughtful reply also. You do seem to be in the minority about the sad marty blog, but that is okay. Unlike what some people claim you will not be shunned, kicked out or any other claim they make. Dissenting views are good.
I did not take your objection to the blog as being pro Marty either…I don’t think anybody else did (I could be wrong) that I have seen. Most of us see it as satire not fair game. So many of his followers over there are prone to jumping to conclusions and exaggeration…and that is putting it mildly. If Marty’s blog discussed gardening (for example) and somebody else put up a blog satirizing that would you classify that as fair game too? I guess we will have to agree to disagree about what acts can be classified as fair game. For some over there it seems like a look can be called fair game and is enough to freak out about.
Btw, I also feel you explained your position well…we just disagree. Marty has brought all this on himself. While I agree we should ignore him (I am trying) it is irresistible at times…some people like the drama others just hate seeing lie after lie posted (esp in the comments) and it is hard to to try and correct those lie and assumptions. It is annoying that he makes accuses people of doing things that he is in fact doing. For somebody who obviously thinks of himself as ‘moved on up higher’ than the rest of us, he sure acts like a 7th grade gossip. He pulled it in…and deserves the heat he is getting. Now, if somebody were to actually start truly fair gaming him?? Hell no I do not support that in any way.

I’ve often wondered about that period of Beck’s life. He doesn’t appear to have been active in Scientology for a few years there, and some of his early songs seem to reference Scientology in a negative way (“Personality test, I failed with the best”). But he was active again by 1999, and he and Leigh broke up in 2000.

JT looked great but I don’t know what happened to Kelly. She looked like Marie Osmond, big ’80s hair and all. She was a stylists nightmare. Not trying to be mean, seriously.

The sing along series I think is now over, but it was presented by AMC theaters and Turner Classic Movies.
