You can remind the court of your experience. The organization has very short memories, in fact they erase any good you ever did. I know too.

One of my next blogs will be to document what I did in the church, in and out of the Sea Org, as well as for the multiple scientology Front Groups that I worked for. Shame on scientology if, at the court hearing come July 15, 2016, they should suddenly forget my 37-years of service.

It’s nice to know that another such cancer survivor has had the balls to help increase awareness of such a condition. As I faced chemotherapy, I did so alone. I had just been accepted into an HMO through Management Success, a scientology Front Group I worked at for two years. Some people couldn’t confront what I faced (inside and outside of scientology’s bubble world) and hid behind the “C” word. I developed a different approach to cancer (at Stage 3, I had, perhaps, only 2 months before the condition would have become irreversible): I embraced the disease hell-bent on killing me.

After the initial surgery to remove the tumor, I went back to work while preparations were underway for the Chemotherapy Event of a lifetime. As my stitched wounds healed, Al Ribisi (father of Giovanni and Marissa), crept up behind me and gave me the world’s biggest hug, not knowing that I had just had surgery. It didn’t hurt and I appreciated his affinity. Incidentally, I’ve know Al since 1980, when, through LA Publishing, he gave price quotes for marketing projects I worked on at ASHO.

You and Tom Green:
“In early 2000, Tom Green was diagnosed with, and successfully treated for, testicular cancer.[9] Green wrote, directed and starred in a one-hour MTV television special titled The Tom Green Cancer Special (aired on May 23, 2000[10]) which documented the time leading up to his surgery and included graphic footage of his own surgery. The episode received wide critical acclaim for revealing a vulnerable, human side of an otherwise juvenile television personality.[11] During this time, he started the “Tom Green’s Nuts Cancer Fund” to raise money for cancer research.[12] In mid-2000, Green also spoke in front of thousands of students in the University of Florida and sang a song titled “Feel Your Balls” to help educate others about testicular cancer.”
