As an outsider, it’s hard to get your head around just how dysfunctional and out of touch with reality Scientology management is.

First, let me put it out there that I’m a never-in. As such, my only focus is on eliminating the criminal abuse of human rights. I believe that the only way to do that is to throw out the baby with the bath water. There is absolutely nothing worth keeping or saving here. I would, however, disagree that all long-held religious beliefs within the religious construct today could be classified as fanatical. That being said, I wish I had the answers regarding Miscavige. He could know that he’s deceiving people, or he could be a complete and utter deluded lunatic. We may never find out for sure.

From personal experience I have met people connected to psychiatry, psychologists, counselors, MS, etc. I have found that they usually fall into one of three types or motivations for their interest.
Group One: is someone interested in psychology as a subject, the study of the mind.
Group Two: is someone who cares about people and wants to help them with their problems.
Group Three: is someone who has major issues and hang-ups of their own and finds the best way to deal with them is to lord it over the monkeys.
