I wish you were coming, Q, but I completely understand. I don’t talk about it here, but I’ve worked jobs where you have to deal with people in a service capacity, and I know it can be goddamn awful. I’m all right. I’m in the middle of working many, many shifts for 2 weeks straight… kids get out of school real soon & so relief be around the corner… yes, I’m very busy w/real life, as I should be. I make my entire living for the whole year during the summer season. Then I slide frugally through the winter. This is why I cannot make the HowdyCon — spend a grand & then not make a grand at the same time, would really hurt financially… and I cannot tell you how much I wanted to go, to meet you, specifically, and Robert Eckert, Observer, Kim O’Brien, others — I very much enjoyed the Mpls. book tour get together. You will be there, right? I think it will be really interesting & fun. talk about good conversations to be had! Holy crap!!

I am just completely befuddled about MissTia (and a number of others). I love nottrue & he self-banned himself… I really don’t like that… it hurts. Marty I have never trusted, so I don’t care what he thinks. Back to Tia, for me, because I really don’t know her, she is not ‘real’ & it is easy for me to simply ‘let her go’… if she doesn’t want to post any more or have anything what-so-ever to do with the bunker — so be it. easy-peesy. I find it pretty easy to just leave people alone, let them be who they are without judging harshly & attacking. Just don’t see any reason for it… it helps no one. I like what you said over @the higher up moving place… love bombing is not the same thing as just reaching out to someone to let them know you care. This is some awful weird shit, Jimmy.
You met her in real life however. For you I fear it is more personal, and definitely more real. At any rate, I hang here — for no good gd reason other than I like so many who do hang here too.

It can get very rough in the Bunker’s commenting board. You shoulda seen it the 1st year and into the Catfish’s episode and throughout it, and its aftermath. What a scene. The months of angst with KJP from Portland was an epic example of the trashy personal sh1t that can happen on any comment board.

There was bashing and crashing and smashing. A lot of people leave — because the commenters who get personal always get personal enough to piss off newbies, or oldies, or one and another.

It’s hard not to get personal. If you come back, I’d advise trying to only comment on Scn and nothing else. Otherwise, some commenter is bound to get personal and mess with whatever, whenever they like.

This isn’t a personal board to people who only want to run with the story of the day and other Scn facts. Anything else is personal. Which is okay, if you want to participate. If not, make it clear. And ignore the personal.
