Scientology has been committing crimes against it’s own members and anyone who would challenge it’s authenticity or moral standing, etc. for some time. It won, because of it’s deep pockets, by being able to mostly silence it’s critics through the courts. It lost when it took on Anonymous and it’s been losing every since.

Yeah, I only left last fall. Didn’t really want to, but I need some specialized professional education and experience with response involving radiological/nuclear material and transuranic waste that I can’t really get in Florida anymore, kinda sucks but its just how it is.

Plus, they’re right down the street from Hubbard Construction. Maybe they feel at home there.

Not all Ideal Orgs are in historic locations. The one in Dallas is waaaay north of the city in an office park/industrial area. And that crappy building for the Valley Org is nothing historic either.

Yeah, I think that article about the Colonial location was the first time I commented here. Used to pass it every day when I was living on Semoran and working at Fresh Market on Mills.

I also saw the address for the Ideal org that Tony shared awhile back. Creckt me if I am wrong, but I had thought Idle Morgues were supposed to be in semi-historic buildings? The only historic thing about that building was it was Red Lobster’s division headquarters before Darden built their newer complex. Cheddar Bay biscuits were approved at that building in the 80’s, otherwise the area my parents live in is much more historical as a B-52G crashed there on approach to Runway 17R/35L (the one that has the Christmas Tree at the End of it, plus the Alert Facility that the Army Reserve uses for the 377th Military Intelligence Battalion) at McCoy AFB in 1972.

Thing is, there’s plenty of historical property in Orlando, spend 15 minutes at the Historic Orlando facebook group and you’d have a list. Plus some of those places are derelict and could really use an owner before they get torn down. For example damned near every building in Eatonville that isn’t on Kennedy is over 70 years old, and if their temporary building’s on Lee Rd it’d have been closer. The Clams get an F-, Must Try Harder.

However, I gotta say one thing about them being on Lee is pretty damned funny, Lakeside’s like right there and we all know how they feel about Psychology.
