Yeah, I agree. We need to get another dog or cat..especially so our son can grow up with a pet. I’ve let the heartbreak of losing Sophia stop me from doing that. But I guess it’s time to let that fear go.

Yeah that’s about the time I’d create a very sarcastic and overly deep book title and be very serious about this life changing read that EVERYone is talking about… If I could keep a straight face. It’s those convos and the status one-upping trying to impress others (when you can tell it’s just to impress & not genuine conversation) that keeps me struggling not to roll my eyes and make a “gag me” motion. I’m proud, sounds like you kept it together quite well all things considered!

OH YAY A FELLOW VAPOR.. WOO HOO..

I am so reclusive it’s not funny.. and so is my husband. A nice couple invited us out to dinner.. Now we are not one to double date..hang out with other couples..blah..blah..

We have been together for 12 years and have never been to a party or another couple’s house. It was so weird.. The guy knows my hubby through fishing. His wife retired judge..both from NY.

The retired judge e mailed me and asked.. OK so I asked my husband.. We both hesitated.. and went back and forth.. So he said..

OK let’s go.. then we’ll take take them out and we’ll be even..and that’s it.. That’s the way we started out.. hahaha..

The Dinner was outstanding.. another couple were there.. the house was beyond anything I’ve ever seen..Waterfront with pool. Fabulous Art and Collectibles..

I couldn’t wait to go home get in my boxers and my husband kept shooting me looks like.. ” Ya ready to go home? ” and ” Uh yeah” back.

Too Much Talk about Politics and Religion.. Polite conversation.. and I had to pretend that I was an adult. I felt so fake.

I have spent years trying to be my Authentic self.. and here I am .. nodding my head to things I didn’t agree with.. because I just wanted to scream..

” WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT..?” Hubby was so proud of me for showing restraint.

First I want to make it clear..It was very nice for them to invite us. They were fabulous hosts. The home was beautiful and food delicious.

All the way home we talked..
Hubby.. ” Lets never do that again..” hahahhahaa ” Who were you tonight? Interesting woman.. not my wife.. ”

Me.. ” I can NOT wait to get home.. What is wrong with us? ”
Him..” That was the longest 5 hrs. of my life. ”

We got home to 4 dogs barking..house was a mess.. turned on TV.. Me shooting for my office..Him eating a bowl of cereal..

And all was right with OUR little world. Yep.. Both of us Reclusive…and apparently ” Don’t play well with others.”
