Well… there are much worse passages than this one. What i am concerned about is the way he uses semantics and rhetoric to fool your mind. The point is, time has changed (thank god for that) But he got away with writing this stuff, the content i mean, back then and probably would today also. I read that book in 1980 and paused with that sentence, just like anyone else, and found it odd. But as an example i didn’t reject it either. Because the way it was written – and you cannot take it out of context as a whole. It is from the middle of the book! Reading it today, i now know, why i paused there, but i also know what he did to make me accept it and read on. His writing is art form to lure you with deceptive methods, try read some to Alestair Crawleys books or a Political-Party Manifest – its full of this kind of writing methods.

It is writing methods like this i find disturbing and that is also why i read MockingbirdsNest.com, lermanet.com among Jon Atack, William Sargant etc. That stuff will expose how and why he wrote this shit like he did.
