The Republicans decided that anything that President Obama would propose that they would oppose, then, they blamed the lack of any legislation or work done in Congress on the Democrats, It seemed to me to be similar to a man who murders his parents, then pleads for mercy because he’s an orphan.

I believe that the reason Obama won was that the Republicans expected that Hillary would be the Democratic nominee in 2008, so they had their guns aimed at her. When Obama became the nominee, they had their weapons pointed in the wrong direction.

Please remind your friend that the black PR aimed at Hillary has been in operation for about 10 years now. It has had a corrosive effect. For one thing, President Obama has brought out a lot of racism. Hillary is bringing out in the open a lot of sexism. Just as in President Obama’s case, there is a denial that those prejudices exist, as if we’ve moved past them.

On Earth, the members of aggrieved societies remember the hurts imposed on them. The Jews remember the Holocaust, the Chinese and other Asians remember the cruelty imposed on them by the Japanese.Those are not forgotten easily.

Just because a black has been elected President, or, possibly next, a woman, doesn’t mean that our society has changed that much. It does mean that we are accepting of people than in the past, but it doesn’t mean that society has changed enough to accept ordinary blacks, women, and other minorities.

Also, remind your friend that the Republicans made it a point to install people opposed to any progressive movement in the elections of 2010 and after. They were able to do that because the people who turned out en mass for the progressive movement with Obama, failed to also turn out for the midterm elections. It led to a stalling or reversal of many of the things that they thought they were voting for when they elected President Obama.

Politics is not a one shot deal, but a continuum of efforts to achieve one’s goals.

I don’t think Cruz or Rubio are good choices either. Cruz, who his wife believes has been chosen by God to be President, and Rubio, too inexperienced in life and in politics, would be a disaster. I’m supporting Hilary and, if not nominated, Sanders. Some of my friends are supporting Sanders or no one, because they have swallowed Republican rhetoric against Hilary and can no longer see where it is coming from. I’m really pissed off at the Republican obstructionism. So much could have been done by Obama, if not for that strategy. I think their refusal to cooperate with Obama to appoint a Supreme Court judge is offensive to the American public.

The Republican leadership is now realizing that they’ve let a fox into the hen house. Mitch McConnel is supposedly giving advice to Republicans in states where they have slim majorities to distance themselves from Drumpf, and is suggesting ways to do it.

Apparently, the delegates to the convention only have to vote for the person they represent on the first ballot, then they can vote for whomever they want. Since most delegates are long time Republican Party members who have no love for Drumpf, if he doesn’t get the nomination in the first ballot, anything can happen.

I am so appreciative of this. The rage was so appropriate. Drumpf is counting on uneducated voters to give him the Republican nomination. If he wins, it will be a colossal mistake.
